March 2007, I bought it as a gift for my wife.
First let me tell you the facts vehicle Spare parts are not available readily.
Can not be serviced at all bajaj service stations
Its all fiber body so you will have all sorts of vibrating body parts.
Two people on the Kristal and will have added noise of the rear shock up.
After one year the bike will give starting problem.
You can not choose your own battery as the rating is different.
The bike is only meant for people with a soft hand and it is not at all reliable.
Now that bad experience - On the very first day the speedometer was not
Working, I took my vehicle to the dealer and I understood that Kristal has to
Be serviced at specific baja service stations only and so I had to take the
Vehical to a workshop which was another 4 km, I took the vehicle their and
Understood that the speedometer cable was faulty and they did not have a spare cable
To be replaced so they repaired the old one and was told that they will call me
Back when they got it in stock. It took 2 months for the spare to arrived by
That time I was in no mood to get it changed.
All free servicing went fine and after 1 year 2 months and
Just 3000 KM on the meter I found that the silencer was all rusted and had developed cracks when contacted the workshop I was asked to get my vehicle for inspection and had to prove that I had serviced the vehicle periodically with bajaj authorized workshop. I gave them the required details and was assured of free replacement. But this time again they did not have the required spare part and was asked to wait for minimum of 7 to 15 days. (Please note I am from Pune and Bajaj Plant Is in pune).
The next to give up was the battery. The vehicle is just 1 Year 5 months (3200km) old and needs a new battery.
Conclusion: Please do not buy this product, buy only if you want to waste your time and money for repairs and wait for spare parts.
