''Feel like god!- Avenger DTSi''
They made me look up and take notice of the bike. They made me write a review on the ad. Now, I understand why they say that the Indian advertising industry is in par with global standards. Really cool stuff!
“The lines”
“ I forgive my father
I forgive women
I forgive my boss.
I forgive the government.
I forgive my past.
I forgive them all.
I feel like…
I feel like god.”
The guy riding the avenger has a cool attitude look on his face. From Pulsarian’s review, I came to know that the place is ladakh. Anyway, the scenery is a far cry from all that we are used in the conventional biking sense. The ride through the mountains on a bike… Must be real cool…
“Into the realm of the bullet”
Wonder why I said that? I have always been a fan of the mountain adventure biking and though I couldn’t get myself, up there in the Himalayas, I used to read the articles appearing in the Autocar and the overdrive of Royal Enfield fans riding the hell out of themselves. I always had the feeling only a solid bike like bullet would handle the ride.
The avenger ad somehow struck a chord with that nostalgia in me. Made me look up and take notice. Impressive!
“Feel like god”
Cruisers are meant for relaxed long journeys. The original American choppers that the cruisers are mostly inspired from are made for the expressways and usually so comfortable for a weekend journey. For all those who watch the discovery travel and living, there is a show called the great biker build off where they build bikes and takes it across several states in a long and single journey.
So the punch line “feel like god” is really up to the cruise stuff that they are trying to project.
“Target audience?”
Pulsarian, in his review, mentioned that the ad targets the folks in the end 20’s and does not appeal to college guys. I am sure the bike will not make any numbers comparable to the pulsar. But then, it would have an impact in the campus. Sorry that I differ in this. Being a college student, I was impressed by the ad.
The attitude is very well projected. I had a feeling the bike would make me look cool. Besides, pulsars and unicorns are becoming so common in the campus. This bike would make me stand out. The attitude! This could be my personal opinion. But the interesting thing is that two of my college friends booked the bike last week.
“Wannabe cruiser”
Pushan! I must agree with that! It’s a little short of power for a cruiser. But considering the facts… It has a Bajaj 180 DTSi engine. The pulsar 180 is still considered one of the ultimate performance bikes in the country. So this shouldn’t be a problem. What was more important was the pricing the impression the bike creates in the mind of the cruiser enthusiasts, and I think the ad has given Bajaj a solid opening…
“I want to feel it for myself.”
Yes I did! I fell for the attitude guy on a macho bike look! Silly me!
“Overall. I am very impressed”
Good work Bajaj, as always. Right from the hoodibaba (1st ad) - pulsar - pulsar DTSi - Wind 125 –Avenger DTSi
“ Feel like god!”
