I've Been Struck By The Smooth Criminal !. Review on Bad - Michael Jackson

I cannot call this sensational album "music" in its usual meaning, i call it "pure magic".i cannot but feel this music through all my heart, its mistery and wisdom when i listen to it. Michael jackson must be the greatest man who walked on the face of the earth next to god.. The way he sang, danced, performed and thrilled the world ..... No other legend of the past, present and future has done or can do it. The idol who ruled the air in the '80s and '90s had dancing powers and singing talents that were not of this world. Internet traffic increasing 5 times following his death is good enough to prove it ! Pure genius ! His death is perhaps the biggest loss to the usa in recent years, i feel.many people of this generation who listen to today's music (esp of eminem the loafer and 50 cent) do not know who mj was in his era. Michael jackson is an inspiration. From his breathtaking "hee hee"s to his stunning "aow!"s to his vocals - which make every other artist on the planet seem like crap - everything about this incredible voice is unbelievable. He ruled the air !!!

Mj's career and bad : michael jackson released many singles and albums across hislife. As we all know many of his songs ruled the charts peaking @ number 1. One such important album was bad. The expectation out of mj was high cos he had released thriller before it and it smashed all records in record industry. Jackson contributes more songs to this album than ever before, penning four out of the album's five record-breaking #1 singles: "i just can't stop loving you" ; "bad", "the way you make me feel"; "man in the mirror" and "dirty diana", a metal song with great production and a cacophonous guitar performance by steve stevens.

Since i was only 7 or 8 when this cd came out, i listened to bad during my teenage. I still know every song from it. The only album in history to have had 5 no.1 singles. At the time (back in the '80's) the

no.2 album of all time. Who didn't know who michael jackson was? Who didn't know these killer songs? Although this came out when i was very young, i'm still old enough to remember singing along with every song that was released from this album. I think i remember trying to emulate his dance moves. I don't think there is one kid who grew up in the 80's that didn't try like michael.

Bad's bad songs:

' bad ', who doesn't know that song? The infamous video in the n.y subway, the organ solo in the middle of the song? Great song, classic.

' The way you make me feel ' is a great michael jackson song that deserves a lot of credit not only for its barely visable new-jack swing and great beat. This song rocks from beginning to end.

' Speed demon ' isn't too bad, it is a bit repetitive, but good. I like the video for it that is in the movie 'moonwalker'. Check it out.

'Liberian girl' was never released in the us but was released in england to huge response and it is deserving because this is a beautiful song.

I really don't like a lot the duet with stevie wonder(blind singer!) ' Just good friends ' but the song is kickin' from beginning to end. Their vocals sound great together. It is a rare classic of a song that shows what can happen when two great artists such as these get together.

' Another part of me ' is also kickin', they say it was also featured in the disneyland theme ride 'captain eo' in which michael starred but is no longer in service.

Now ' man in the mirror ' is the greatest song of the '80's. It is the whole message behind it that makes it great. The song is just beautiful. Pure genius .

' I just can't stop loving you ' is also another great duet, this time with siedah garrett, who in fact co-wrote 'man in the mirror' with glen ballard. The song is great, though the intro leaves something to be desired.

' Dirty diana ' is a great power rock -song, it was actually one of princess diana's favorite songs.

Now ' smooth criminal ' is an unforgettable track on this album, one the best songs of the king.....by far! The video is cool (who can forget the way mj defies gravity ??? ) & the song is great! I love it!

Last but not least is my fav track : the extra bonus track ' leave me alone ' on it which i think is a great

song. Though others don't, i love this song v much. Michael sings innocently great ! And "leave me alone" was an animation breakthrough in 80s.

Can an album get any better? Great beat, great hook, one of the best ! So with 'thriller', this album is one of the best of the '80's. Five out of five.

Punchline : listen to bad.... You'll be struck by the smooth criminal...sorry the king of pop. Just like me !
