I recently had an experience with Baapstore's dropshipping services and found several aspects of their operation problematic. Here are my observations:
Pricing Strategy: Initially, Baapstore presents attractive prices on their products, which seem competitive for the first 10 orders. However, after these initial orders, I noticed a substantial price increase, nearly double the original amount. This pricing model can be misleading and unsustainable for a small dropshipping business.
Business Model Transparency: Baapstore functions as an intermediary in the marketplace, with a limited warehouse capacity. Most of their products are shipped directly from other sellers. Post my initial orders, one of their sellers contacted me to bypass Baapstore, citing a 20% commission charged by Baapstore on their orders. This incident raises concerns about the transparency and reliability of their business model.
Membership and Support Issues: The membership plans offered by Baapstore are expensive, and there seems to be a lack of interest in the success of their clients' businesses. The focus appears to be on selling premium plans rather than ensuring the profitability or sustainability of their clients' ventures.
Product Variety and Quality: Although Baapstore claims a wide range of products, I found that many items, such as mobile covers with different designs, are essentially the same products with minor variations. This superficial diversity is misleading. Moreover, issues with clothing and footwear sizes have led to customer dissatisfaction, suggesting a lack of quality control in these categories.
Comparison with DeoDap: Upon comparing prices and products between DeoDap and Baapstore, I noticed similarities in the images and offerings. Initially, Baapstore's prices were lower, but this was only for a limited number of orders, after which their prices were significantly higher.
In conclusion, while Baapstore does offer a range of products, there are significant concerns regarding their pricing strategy, business model transparency, and product quality. For anyone looking to start a dropshipping business, I recommend exploring other options, such as direct importing from platforms like Alibaba, and choosing a company with more reasonable subscription fees and a transparent business model.
