Three dots, Ayutha Ezhuthu (ak) is the last consonant in Tamil alphabet.

Another good movie from Mani Ratnam. Since Ayutha Ezhuthu also means ?letter of weapon?, this is an action packed movie with well choreographed stunts. The three dots in the movie are meant for the three guys who come together in an accident scene. It?s the usual story with the face off between good guys and the bad guys against the corrupt state of the political system.

Here, we have a good guy (Surya), a bad guy (Madhavan) and the inspired kid (Siddharth). The photography was amazing, the director has the three men different colour tones denoting their character through the movie. Madhavan is shown in red tones, green for Surya and Blue for Siddharth. The flashback storytelling method is used effectively. A.R. Rahman?s music was awesome and brilliant performances from the cast.

A special kudos to Bharathiraja! What an expressive face this man has. Madhavan might have gotten second billing after Surya but it was Maddy who steals the show. The role brings out the emotional range in him. Surya nails the angry young man part. The film gets somewhat dragging during Siddharth?s storyline. However, the movie has several plot holes.

Just how does a hit man miss his almost point blank target? The ending leaves much to be desired, not really a viable solution to the problem. Nevertheless, it is a good film with fantastic direction, amazing stunts & effects.
