The first time I got a salary account from axis bank, I was in pune. The details of what happened at the beginning when some of my colleagues had to call the axis bank contact person is a sad story. But I had no problems at that time, except the time when I called with a query about how to change address because of an emergency.
The overall experience was pretty good for 2 years when I had small problems that would get fixed only when I visited the branch.
Due to my patience and lack of time to change Bank, my salary account stayed on with them.
The last bad experience that made me think of axis bank as not worth my while was when I shifted from pune. The account cheque book could not be delivered even after a delay of over a month. I had to complain to the manager of a branch at that time, in Kolkata. When I threatened to complain to consumer forums both online and offline, only them my work got done.
After that, my account got locked due to an ATM error and it has remained locked ever since both because I could not use the account for a long time and due to my disinterest in going through a lot of hassle for a mere rs 1000. Even though I wanted to open a fixed deposit and had taken out the money futon the account, the bad service made me stop going to this bank,
