My apartment basement got flooded and my bike got submerged. I found Autobrix online and made the booking. I specifically asked them to get the vehicle lifted from my place since water has entered inside. They promised that they will send a tempo or some other vehicle and will get the vehicle transported to their workshop which is in the ITPB area.

The service was booked on 2nd Oct 2020 under the head ''Inspection'' and I need to pay Rs 350 in case I do not avail the service. The next day(3rd Oct 2020), their technician came in a two-wheeler. When I asked him how will they transport the bike, he said he will get the company vehicle but did not return that day. The next day(4th Oct 2020), he came again, and I asked the same question, then he said he will take it somehow to the workshop. He called his other colleague and he came to another two-wheeler. He told them they will take it to some nearby workshop which is affiliated to their main workshop and after washing they will take it to the main workshop. So they took my bike and I assumed that it has been transported to the main workshop.

After one day(6th Oct 2020), when I called to check if the bike has reached the workshop, I was told that yes it has reached there. So, in good faith, I gave their address to the surveyor from the insurance company for inspection. I am not sure, but the next day or so, I got a call from the surveyor telling me that he went to the given address, but did not find the vehicle there.

I immediately called the workshop manager, then, he told me that my bike was not brought to the workshop, instead, it was left at a local garage and it is still lying there. In the meantime, the surveyor after waiting for some time went back. In the next couple of days I enquired with the workshop manager when will he take the bike to the showroom and he kept telling me that he will take it in a day or two. In the meantime, the surveyor called again and said that he will visit again, so I gave them the current address of the bike(local garage) since I was not sure from the manager''s reply when they are going to take the bike to the workshop. The surveyor has returned once and I did not want that to happen again. So I informed the workshop manager that let the surveyor come and inspect the vehicle in the local garage and then you can pick up the bike. In the meantime, Autobrix guys kept calling, but having lost their trust I told them that I will not allow them to take the bike to their workshop until the inspection is done since I have already given this address to the surveyor and do not want the repeat of what happened last time.

After waiting for 3-4 days, I decided that I do not want to avail the service of Autobrix and informed them accordingly. I told them that I will pay 350(the charge for inspection). I was shocked to hear that I will have to pay 1,850(350+1,500). When I asked why they have added a 1,500 extra charge, I was told that it is the parking fees. I refused to pay the amount.

Then they started threatening that they will forcibly take the bike. When I questioned that on what basis they are adding the parking charge since the bike was never taken to the workshop, no explanation was provided and I was told that I will have to pay. It went on like this for more than one week and finally I agreed to pay 500, just to get back my peace of mind.

This is my experience with Autobrix. I leave it to you to judge before deciding to avail their service.

PS: I am still waiting for the surveyor to come and inspect the vehicle. It's been more than 3 weeks. Whenever I call the surveyor he tells me that it was my fault since they had gone to the given address and did not find the vehicle.
