Asus with it's entry level smartphone has surely created a buzz, with it's strategic pricing it is all set to dominate the budget sector a.k.a the sub 10000 inr segment.
LOOKS-
the 5 inch screen with its thin bezels and metallic finished volume rockers in the side, the slightly curved yet rubberish finished back panel and the rectangular box type shape makes the zenfone appeal way more expensive then its price tag.
FEEL-
The matte finish back is a good add on, the phone stays in grip and the ergonomics are well maintained. The phone might be harder for people with smaller palms to operate it single handed, well this could be solved with the one hand use feature.
SCREEN-
Colors are well maintained and vibrant and there is also the custom app called'splendid' to further customize the color temperatures. With 300+ ppi there is no noticeable pixelation, protected by corning gorilla glass.
CAMERA-
8mp back camera and 2 mp front are equally good while shooting indoor as well as outdoor. It's own pixel master technology and low light shot tech increases the brightness of indoor and night shots by 400%. front camera can be better as it lacks sharpness and is over saturated.
PERFORMANCE-
With intel atom processor it is hands down the best performance device under 10k. 2gb of ram will give you lots to work with.
USER INTERFACE-
ZenUI ca be said as on eof the most sleek, minimalistic, and fresh looking UI in the market. IT has a lot of options for customizations and a lot to learn around. Check it out for yourself.
