I was looking for a compact and small-sized notebook that would compliment my primary laptop which is HP 15af114AU. After checking with a few friends and family and doing some intensive research online, I decided to get Asus EeeBook X205TA Notebook through Flipkart. I've been using this product for over a month now and I'm extremely happy with its overall performance.
Here in this review I'm going to list what I particularly liked or disliked about this product after using it.
PROS:
Elegant design, premium looks and a really impressive build quality with smooth corners and squared-off edges.
Vibrant screen with 11.49 inches display.
Feels extremely light in your hand, weighs less than 1 kg. It's compact size and lightness makes it all the more a travel friendly laptop.
Irrespective of its lightweight, the laptop is darn sturdy.
It has a decent looking chiclet-styled keyboard with well spaced keys.
Touch pad is good and quite responsive too.
Really great battery life – gives me around 9-10 hours of battery life in spite of continuous usage.
The device is extremely silent due to its fan-less design.
It comes with pre-loaded MS Office 365 package which is free for 1 year.
Built-in speakers are also quite good for this price range.
CONS:
USB ports are located pretty close to each other, hence quite difficult to connect more than one device at a time.
For people with larger palms, keyboard may feel a little congested without enough spacing.
Works great for basic tasks like browsing, reading books, watching movies etc. Not good for gaming, heavy users and for those who are looking to buy this as a substitute for primary laptops.
All-in-all, I'm quite happy with the purchase of this notebook as it perfectly serves my purpose of use. I'd recommend this wonderfully small-sized laptop to anyone especially students who are looking to buy a portable, lightweight and affordable notebook that delivers a decent performance for daily basic use.
