The telugu starer Mahesh Babu movies usually has good songs. So after seeing the ''Arjun'' tracks at the listening post in one of the Music stores, I listened.
Yes. They are good.
''Okka Mata'' song is an inspiration of ARR's Vande Mataram. ''O chelli'' and ''Aye Pilla'' are the regulars for those who have followed all the recent songs.
I am confident that ''Raa Raa Rajakumara'' will be the dance number to be repeated often in the Television shows in the coming months. Udit Narayan as usual makes you dance with his accent. Swarnalatha is back again and she delivered.
Before listening to the songs, I have no idea about this movie.
In the song ''Dum Dumare'' word ''Azhagar'' is used. I was amused first time as it is not a common word used outside of Tamilnadu; even Madurai. ''Azhagar'' is a residing deity in Madurai in the name of ''Sundarraja Perumal'' and also fondly referred as ''Kallalagar''. The 10 days Chittirai festival in April-May is very famous. I guess the song is picturised in line with ''Meenakshi''s marriage.
It's again a long time I am hearing the combination of SPB and CHITRA. Great song.
The mesmerizing voices of Unni and Harini in ''Madhura Madhura Meenakshi'' song aroused my curiosity to know more about the film. And found that they made a replica of ''Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple'' for this movie. A well orchestrated percurssion instruments of Violin,Veena,Mridangam,Gadam and Tabla makes this song alive.
Hope the story goes around one Tamil guy and a Telugu girl living in Madurai. To confirm that storyline, there is this song ''Raa Raa Rajakumara'' which has some Tamil lyrics for the hero. Looks like Mani sharma was highly inspired by ARR as he lifted the starting piece from the song ''Chinna Chinna Aasai'' from the movie ''Roja''.
I am eagerly waiting to watch this movie in the BIG SCREEN. Yes, I belong to Madurai.
''Raa, Raa, Arjun!!!'' to the Theatres.
