Hi Friends, I want to share my best memory with all Msians, about my recent visit to Araku Valley! I have been here with my friends on DEC 28 to celebrate my Friend Bthday! we were planning since 2 months to visit this place and finally got succeeded at last. I had a great time over there and I want to explain in details about this wonderful place.
Araku Valley:
This hill station is located 115 kms far from Visakapdiganta_bm, Andhra Pradesh and one of famous hill stations in India. this can be considered as one of the beauty in India, and one of the main attractions in Andhra and has a lots of beauties in it. araku is very famous for Coffee Plantations. The natural beauty of this valley comes with pleasant weather, hills and valleys. Overall from Starting to end I can say that it gives a wonderful and unique experience to everyone.
Transportation:
Majorly there are two different types of transportation, one is Train & other is Bus from Vizag. Coming to train there is only one train daily i.e @ 7 am Kirandul Express(Vizag to Araku). if u travel in this train im sure that u vl not forget the experience, it travels through dense & thick forests from hills, valley's & tunnels its really amazing and fun:) it takes nearly 4-5 hours to reach the destination. Similarly bus transportation is also available, but the last bus vl be around 3pm. it also takes nearly 5-6 hours to reach the destination. but I strongly recommend to prefer Train journey as it would be more comfortable and safe. the problem with Bus journey it that, due to Ghat road journey there would be lot of up & downs and curvy roads, so this would not be safer wen compared to Train. Rail & Bus Station's are located at the centre of Araku Town only so it will be easier at any time.
Must Visit Places:
There are some Best spots to watch over here.
Borra Caves: this is very intresting to watch in Araku, we have to move inside the caves of mountain, u will be thrilled over there, it will be very dark inside and best photography place.
Ananthagiri Hills: this is another good spot with Dumbriguda waterfalls and mountains & coffee plantations.
Padmapuram Gardens: there is a tribal museum, tree huts & cottages, and special Coffee shop.
Note: there is a special spot in the way to Borra Caves pls dont forget it, best place to click pics.
There are some more places for sightseeing but these three places would nearly take 2 days to check out.
Accommodation:
Well this an another important factor to be considered, here in araku we can find all different classes of hotels. we can have tour guides over there can suggest us a better hotels and accommodation. we have taken a double bed room(rajadhani) for two days costed around 2400 for 12 members. so 1200/day. and the room service was very good and we got clean rooms. we heard that maximum at A class we can have rooms at 3000/day and minimum at 600/day. Hotels will be rush only in winter season and prices may vary at that time. hope so many of the hotels do not have food service in their own hotels. but we have to get some outside stuff.
Food:
i have seen two big restaurants over there and they were good with cool ambiance and service. both the restaurants were at center of araku and serve both veg & non-veg. but for both couple of days we had parcels to our hotels and had a fire at cool place and had a great time! so overall food was ok but need to strive hard to get it from outside!
I hope the details given would help u better if u visit it! but I can say that this tour gave me some best memorable moments in my life. if u r a Hill station lover then this is a perfect place to hang out, I recommend for two days and in winter season!
