I purchased a Mac for my son. He has a lot of Windows files. Apple told us we could create a partition in the HDD where he could install Windows and keep the Windows files. After a few months the HDD became really slow. They had no solution that worked.
Finally they said he would have to remove the Windows OS. Whatever Windows did to the HDD it was serious because they had to replace the HDD.
Also their Tech staff were not well-informed. My son got all the gyan from other experts. Be careful. Their salespeople will say the Mac supports Windows but this is not a 100% true. Obviously there are problems.
On the plus side, Apple were true to their word. They replaced the HDD quickly and for free (it was under warranty). They did not make it difficult for us.
