My son uses a Macbook Pro. It's less than two years old. Last year we had to get the hard drive replaced. Last week the RAM stopped working. We gave the laptop to an Apple service center in Malad and it's been a frustrating experience.
They promise to call back but they don't. Then they stop picking up the phone but pick it up if you call using a different phone. Total sadakwalli attitude. Not what you'd expect from the world's most valuable company etc etc. Steve Jobs must be spinning in his grave.
This repair will cost us 12, 000 with only 3 months warranty--if we go with Apple genuine. The service center is offering 3rd party RAM for half price and 1 year warranty offered by the service center! Talk about confusing! But we're caught. We will go with one or the other. We have to use this piece of crap for another 2.5 years before we junk it.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO GET CAUGHT. Stay with Windows-Intel is my advice. Less glamorous but more dependable.
