I recently got to use my father's iPhone X which he generously lent me for a week.
It is certainly the best looking and designed Apple iPhone hands down. But while considering all its features, its not the best phone in the market.
I found the cost of the phone to be phenomenally high. You don't just buy an iPhone, you also buy the hype and the brand name along with it. But shelling out more than a lakh on a phone doesn't seem sensible to me.
FaceID - Ignore the memes currently viral on the internet, and you can still not wrap your head around using your face as your ID for unlocking a phone. I still find the Touch ID to be far better and user friendly.
The A11 chipset claims to be faster than A10 but performance wise experts find A10 to be better compatible with iOS 11. I however didn't find any noticeable difference.
iPhone X ships with iOS 11 by default. I have used iOS 11 on both 6S and X and I find the revamped Control Centre to be better. I still miss iOS 10 though.
iPhone X's battery didn't disappoint me. I was able to use it the entire day with 10-15 calls, decent browsing and video playback. I had to charge it the second time after coming back home from my office. So definitely a good job there by Apple.
I also like the full glass panel on the backside and the slim bezels. Gives iPhone X a very very classy feel.
I just find the price too high for a phone, a device which inevitably becomes obsolete within months of its purchase.
