This is my review about the iPhone 5. This phone was the successor to the legendary Apple iPhone 4S with a few major improvements in the year 2012.
For its time, it was one of the best phones in existence, however it can not be used anymore at the present time.
The body design is quite outdated. It is basically the same as the Phone 4s with a little bigger screen. By bigger I mean longer.
Apple doesn't like to make their phone wide as the restrict using the phone single handed. The screen was made 4 inches but its still smaller than almost any Android phone in existence today.
The Build Quality is Average. Once dropped, it will most probably be destroyed and the replacement charges you will pay will be beyond your expectations.
From my experience, multitasking is not smooth. Double pressing the Home button every time to switch between apps is probably not the best idea. Speaker volume was a bit Low. Much lower than my Motorola Moto G4 plus.
Camera quality is also Average. Color reproduction is better compared to many budget Amdroid phones but because of less pixel count, they are not smooth enough. Front camera is average as well. Do not expect wonders.
It had already been discontinued by Apple long ago. It might be still selling at some shops for cheap price but you should not consider it. It runs on ios 10 maximum which is okay for a phone this old, but no more updates.
Yes, you can use it but its better to spend on a newer device. With a better performance and camera. Battery life is about the same on all iphones, if that is something you care. It looks about the same as the iPhone 5s and the newer iPhone SE, but has a Low configuration.
If you are an Apple fan, on budget I will suggest you to buy the iPhone SE. It has the same processor as the iPhone 6s but costs only half which makes it by far the best value for money iPhone. However if you want to get a bigger screen, curved design, 3D touch, and better Selfie Camera, you will have to get an Iphone 6s, at least. Anything before that is just a waste of money.
