''Annalakshmi'' located in Anna salai near the Higgibothams outlet is one the must vist theme restaurant in Madras.
The effect starts the moment you step in to the hotel. The interior is done a very ethnic and hip style. The seating arrangements are different in varous locations and they very comfortable and based on the background styling.
A restaurant maintained for a noble cause, Annalakshmi serves food in a very kingly way and takes pleasure in making and serving each itenery in menu.
Menu is elaborate and so is their meals, which would be nearly a 7 course meal.
When you are going there please go with a taste for pure vegetarian food and semi cooked food too. The combinations given are good and the atmosphere in very nice for a peaceful get together.
True, it requires prior booking and it is always having customers in groups.
There is no point I think in going alone or a pair, go as a group to enjoy fullest and make use of the bookings in advance.
It's not a romantic place to book-in-advance and go as a pair.
Parking yes there is big service road in front to park and that is it. Otherwise parking is very difficult in the premises it there is rush in the restaurant.
Better to go in auto (hehe)!!
The people who serve there are volunteers, and not actually those who work there. The way they help you around is very nice and put us in comfort even if you are a first timer there.
The food is good, but costly there and you need to be prepared for it. The earnings all go towards charity services run by one saint(i'm sorry, not able to recall the name).
They have branches also in other cities and seems to be firmly established.
so go ahead try to splurge into the 7 course meals served at Annalakshmi
