From an Android User. Review on Android vs Iphone

Android Phones/Tablet Used

LG P500 - Now idle

Nexus S - Primary Phone - In service

XYBoard - 10.1" Motorola Wi-Fi Tablet -  In service

Lenovo P780 - Secondary Phone - In service

The Pros:

1. You can purchase an android phone from any price range.

   
   




2. Easy to charge your Phone battery through the Charger/USB cable which you can find in every nook and corner.

   
   




3. You can install  Custom Rom which are plenty now a days( But don't count the normal user for this)

   
   




4. Apps can be installed with or without connecting your phone to your PC

   
   




5. Repairing, accessories costs are low, medium

   
   




6. Great variety of apps from Google as well as others

   
   

The Cons:

1. UI experience is not smooth and its not pleasing to the eyes. Also the same in the case for apps.

   
   




2. Battery wont last a day for normal to high use, the only exception is Lenovo P780

   
   




3. OS is not getting up to date, My LG P500 still stuck at Gingerbread, Nexus S at ICS( Now using custom rom - CM 10.1.3), XYBoard Tablet still stuck in ICS, My 2 Weeks old Lenovo now running 4.2.1

   
   




4. Too many bloatwares in the phones other than Nexus S

   
   

iPhone /Tablet Used

So far None

Today I played with the display/demo phone of iPhone 5C/5S and here is my initial take.

The Pros:

1. Premium Look of the iPhone 5S, ( HTC One comes close) but 5C having a cheap look compared to 5S

   
   




2. UI experience is silky smooth and I really fall in love.

   
   




3. Its having all the Google apps which I am using in android.

   
   




4. Good resale value.

   
   




5. Can do jailbreak and install whatever apps I want.

   
   

Battery Backup? I cant say now as the phone was in charging mode

The Cons:

1. Premium Pricing

   
   




2. I have to carry my unique charger/usb cable to charge my mobile.

   
   




3. Repairing an iPhone is a costly affair.

   
   




4. Accessories are at premium price.

   
   




5. For installing apps you need to mate your phone to PC through iTunes.

   
   




6. Too many stock apps( bloatware) which I wont be using at all.

   
   

Well i'm going to switch over to iPhone 5S if a Service Provider offering a contract with 0 payment like Reliance doing now in some circle.

Or looking for some good EMI options from the stores.
