It was in 2016 that my friend met an accident on two wheeler, in which he received grievous injuries. I took him to AMRI Hospitals Dhakuria along with his father.
When we reached there in the emergency department, we thought we will need to go through a lot of paper work before the treatment can actually start. We could see more than two bones of my friend were broken and there were other serious injuries as well. We wanted to get it done quickly.
As soon as we stepped in, we were pleased to see that the doctors rushed for his treatment. We just had to fill a form and the investigations started to assess the severity of the condition. After an hour we came to know that he had fractured both his arms and foot. He was in a lot of pain. He also had lost a lot of blood and there were many bruises on his body. The doctors didn't waste any time to be honest. They started to perform their duty and minimize further damage.
The doctors looked at all the injured areas and washed the wound with medicines and betadine. The fixed the fracture and also asked me to arrange the blood.
As they only required one point, I gave my own blood which was exchanged with the required blood group. I was happy that I had chosen the right hospital for such a major emergency, where all the facilities were available first hand under one roof. But, I still had fear what if my friend doesn't recover?
The doctors checkup on him day night and kept monitoring the recovery process. He was under the observation of some of the experienced doctors at the hospital. The staff also did their bit. They were very supportive and helpful during the toughest period of my life. I used to change shifts with my friend's father and try my best to look after him. At least I was happy that he is in good care.
He was discharged from hospitals after 3 weeks, although it took him more than 2 months to recover fully. When we were handed the expenses by the admins at AMRI Hospitals Dhakuria, we were pleased to see that they had provided all this treatment in low cost.
The hospitals is really good in providing the required care in a cost-effective manner. We thanked the doctors and staff for taking care of not just the patient, but also helping us with every process. Today, my friend walks on his own and he is quite healthy as well.
Although we cannot forget those days, but we will also not forget how well the problem was managed by AMRI Hospitals Dhakuria. Thank you!
