Amitabh Harivansh Srivastav born on October 11, 1942, is an great inspiration as his path to success and the ups and down are one which can relate to and take as an inspiration. It took almost 30 years to this man to gain the popularity he holds now. The life of this man like many other great personalities says one thing to all those who are still in their 20s-30s donot loose heart. With sheer determination anyone could achieve anything and reach that position that one desires to.

Amitabh which means, "the light that would never go off." Today Amitab is celeberating his 66th birthday. His life path that begins with his early work in 1969 to 1972 , his rise in between 1973 - 1983. Amitabh got injured seriously in 1982 while shooting Coolie and His illness made him feel weak both mentally and physically and he decided to quit films and venture into politics. His political career, however, was short-lived: He resigned after three years. 1988-1992 was a dull period for Amithab wherein he did many different roles and in 1992, Bachchan went into semi-retirement for five years. Bachchan turned producer during his temporary retirement period,
setting up Amitabh Bachchan Corporation, Ltd. (A.B.C.L.) in 1996, ABCL was reported to have overpaid most of its top level managers,
eventually led to its financial and operational collapse in 1997. In the year 2000, Bachchan stepped up to host India's adaptation of the British television game show KBC. Bachchan hosted KBC till November 2005, and its success set the stage for his return to film popularity.
