First experience:NY to LA
Second experience:Wish would never happen!
Punctuality: It did not delay this time!
Because flying is not a luxury in US, airlines here do not even compare to the Indian airlines. Every Tom, Dick, and Harry gets to fly and that, I guess, is the reason of neglect generally shown by the air crew. This is common to all airlines in the US. But, that's fine. If what you all need is a reclining seat and a good sleep, this airline's perfect.
Food:
When the tickets were booked, I ordered for an Asian vegetarian meal and I could not understand how in the world an Italian pasta would become Asian? Let us assume that there exists an MoU between Italy and Asia and research further what this airline has to offer.
Entertainment:
You get to listen to few radio channels in the flight. So far so good. But, they would not give you a headphone to listen to that! Well yes, it looks like the cost to clean a headphone is more than the 2 dollars they charge you if you want one. And... how about the headphones? The cost is only 2 bucks and it just sucks. It doesn't fit snugly into you ears. I tried few channels but I'm not the kind that likes Jazz, Rock, etc. I'd suggest you to carry your own headphones and better still carry your own Walkman/CDman.
Facilities:
I got the space of a club class even as I was ticketed for the economy class. The flight was half-empty. So, I just lied down flat on the empty seat next to me and had a great sleep which otherwise would have been terrible as the seat doesn't recline much.
Overall:
If you can get good deals from websites like Expedia, Cheapflights, Hotwire etc, and if the distance is not very long, this airline is a good bet. Otherwise, take United. United is a better airline overall. And... stop talking nonsense about the Indian airlines. It's far better than the American ones.
