This review is for general services provided by Amazon, when the platform vendors are involved in malpractices like fake delivery, intentional/purposeful shipping of wrong items of lower cost to customer.
I have two experiences in this regards.
Experience 1-
Order no. 171-3428726-9142749 date- 21.05.2024, product - EXIDE INVATUBULAR IT500
I had ordered a Exide Invatubular battery IT500 on Amazon on 21.05.2024. An attempt of fake delivery of product was made by the vendor on 23.05.2024. I immediately reported the issue to Amazon via telephonic conversation with the customer care. After through follow up from my side I was able to successfully get refund for it on 03.06.2024. At last the outcome of entire effort from my side was that:
a) my money was kept parked in Amazon account for approx. 14 days and I was the one who was still without inverter support in peak summer.
b) after passing the 14 days of peak summer season without battery Amazon decided to finally refund the money to me on 03.06.2024, as they can't deliver the product to me.
c) I didn't had courage to buy battery again from Amazon as still peak summer was there and Amazon has amazing enquiry system which give good torture to customer, so I finally procured the battery from local vendor instead.
As per my intuition, the primary reason for this play of fake delivery by vendor was most probably due to price difference, as on Amazon I paid only Rs 13, 490/- while I had to pay Rs 16, 500/- to local vendor. So, I end up suffering for 14 days in peak summer and paying approx. Rs 3000/- more. But I was satisfied as local vendor shipped the item in reality within 2 hours and helped to end my suffering.
Experience 2-
Order no. 405-1447435-4677165 date 22.06.2024 & 171-1475972-0325915 date 28.06.2024, product - Crompton Greaves Silent Pro Enso Smart ceiling Fan
I have twice placed order for Crompton SilentPro Enso Smart Fan but Amazon has very amazingly managed to deliver non-smart version of fan on both orders. When I brought it to notice of Amazon then for first order they completed refund in a general way but for second occasion they had notion to carry special drill of images, you all can see attached images for details of special drill.
For all three orders, I have paid money in advance and received wrong product or no product at all. Because of delivery of wrong product and non delivery of items, I am unsatisfied with Amazon service. Moreover the special drill of pics has added to my pain.
Summary, Amazon has now become new generation Flipkart. I hope we all agree that Flipkart was and continues in present to have very poor customer support and Amazon is now following footsteps of Flipkart.
These online merchant surely has shown me why local vendor are much better than them.
