My brother informed me about this "wonderful" service. Pay'X' amount and get 10 tickets. Definitely looked cost savings to me. I purchased a Couple Plan for INR 36, 999 on 20th September. Since I recommended by friend(who also purchased the plan and faced similar issues like I did), I was promised cash back of INR 2000 by the sales executive. The cash back was suppose to be made within 21 days of purchase. I have not received the same till date. This makes it issue number 1.
As per their policy, we have to put our travel plan 8/9 days in advance which includes the travel day and the day we are putting in the request. My travel date was 31st October and 2nd November. I placed the request on 21st October. Also as per the policy, they are supposed to issue tickets at least 48 hours in advance of the journey date. On 29th which is a Sunday, their office is closed. Hence I am not getting my ticket 48 hours in advance. On 30th, I started calling them since 11 AM. I am chasing them while as per their policy I am suppose to get a call from their side. I am then informed that my travel has been scheduled at approx 2 AM on 31st October. I am from Bangalore. So I have to leave home by 12 AM to board the flight on time. That gives me less than 12 hours to prepare for the flight. When I told them I will sue them in consumer court for this harassment, I was told "YOU CAN DO SO". This was said when I asked if the call is being recorded and the response was yes. Some how they managed to give me a travel time of 9 AM of 31st October. They informed me of the travel time at around 3 PM on 30th while I got my ticket at 7:18 PM. Again I have to place a large number of calls to their toll free number.
My next travel was on 2nd November. I became proactive and started mailing and calling them continuously on 31st October so that they can let me know my travel details for 2nd November so that I can plan my journey for 31st and 1st. I was travelling toOsiyan, Rajasthan. There is no direct flight to Osiyan. Nearest airport is Jodhpur which is in Alpfly's blacklist. Next nearest airport is Udaipur. There is no train from Jodhour to Udaipur. So either I take car or a bus to travel to Udaipur. After regularly asking them to update me on 31st so that I can plan my travel, there was no update from their side.
On 1st, I was travelling back from Osiyan, Rajasthan to Jodhour. It was around 11:30 AM. I again started asking them as I had couple of hours to plan my journey. They again did not upload. At 2 PM I was told to travel to Udaipur and catch a flight which had a 23 hours journey time to Bangalore. Also I had to leave immediately so that I reach in time to catch the flight. I declined as it was not humanly possible. I was given an option to travel from Jaipur to Bangalore which I accepted as I had no other option. On call I was confirmed that I will get a ticket from Jaipur. Suddenly another executive calls me and says they are providing me tickets from Udaipur. Imagine my situation. I am entering the railway stating to catch a train to Jaipur and they are telling that I will get a flight from Udaipur. Finally after lot of hassling I got the ticket from Jaipur.
From 30th October to 1st November, my work was getting hampered regularly as I have to keep chasing them after every few minutes. There was no peace in getting these transactions done. I now remember the names of so many executives of Alpfly that it seems like I have known them for ages. Sales executive who sold the plan to me stopped receiving my calls when I was calling from my number but as soon as I call from a different number she used to receive it.
There were no managers to talk to. Their office timings are 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM while their managers do not come to office till 2 PM.
While we are suppose to pre-plan our travel at least 8/9 days in advance, Alpfly changes it to a last moment plan.
I requested for refund and no one answered my email. As soon as my friend faced a similar issue(he was travelling before me), I asked them to refund. They did not reply.
No mental peace, only harassment, executives cannot cater to the customers, they do not know how to handle. Only policy that the company follows is to place your travel request 10 days in advance, They themselves do not follow any policy as listed by them.
One of the most harrowing service experience in my life.
