Nickelback.The rock generation with so much passion, that with such meaningful lyrics, it touches your heart, like the rock you want to listen to when you're heart broken or just are angry with the world. This Post-grunge and country rock band, has been able to have 3 top ten hits in 2000 from this album.

My favorites from the album are; Photograph, Savin' me, Far away, Side of a bullet, If Everyone cared, Rockstar

This is one of my favorite bands from the year 2000, when I heard' This is how you remind me' the voice of Chad Kroeger just took me by surprise, because his voice was so different, so unique. I haven't seen any band besides Nirvana compliment the singer so well.

Here in this album, 'If everyone cared' seems to be a song sung by a boyfriend who watches the stars with his girlfriend, and feels that her being with him, is the most prized thing any boyfriend could ever want, and in a way he feels lucky and the same time, he feels for those who aren't as lucky as him. He feels if the world swallows their pride and doesn't lie, the world would be a better place. With heart felt lyrics and the earnestness in the voice of Chad, with the sensitivity of the music, this song is just beautiful.

Photograph', is a song which talks about nostalgia. Again a very rugged feel about how a mischievous kid who's now become a good guy, thinks of his past life. He is one of those drop outs, where he remembers the old memories of girl friend and the sneaking out the back door, and once even feels that now I have become so much better that if I was me then I won't let myself in the group.I particularly like the lyric where he says: We said someday we'd find out how it feels To sing to more than just the steering wheel. The guitaring and the drums take this nostalgic journey into a harmony that you can almost feel your heart throbbing, when he says, if I would relive those days, there's one thing I wouldn't change; that is he wouldn't change a thing.

Savin' me; It's about a person right out of jail, wanting a better life with his girlfriend. Again, it's how you interpret it. The beauty of this song is how the song is so sober, yet is a rock song. So for those who don't like rock songs, you need to know that rock is not about shouting or yelling, it's about the chaos in the mind, where the life of you screams for getting out of the mess, and Genre of Rock is giving voice to the mess in your head. This one talks about how one soul asks for help, when he says, " Hurry, I'm fallin"

Far Away; This is a slow song, but never moving away from the rock feel, but the passion surfaces here, for a person in a long distance relationship, this one hits a chord, it asks for the beloved that he/she misses the other very much. It's a litany to oneself, about the longing and the yearning of the old memories.

Side of a bullet: This one is one hard rock song, with Chad being at his best, his vocals are just so full of energy that blows you over. The song talks about how he is condemning the act of someone who pleads to god, of how you let him pull the trigger, his brother watched him do it. And the whole act, is condemned and the anger is what makes up the song.

Rockstar; is about being a Rockstar, for a person who aspires to live like one, and in a way when you're listening in, you feel that damn I wanna do all that. But there are things you don't really want to do, like have a drug peddler on your speed dial.But all in all, its more like a guy-guy song. Its a neat'ol song. Here the country rock aspect of the band surfaces.

All in all, a fantastic music album to own. Brilliant voice of Chad and his band. Cheers! to the goodness of the true rockers!
