I own a very small online jewelry business which mainly sells GENUINE Moissanite in settings of S925, gold, or platinum. I have had a recent issue with purchasing over $7000 of “gold and platinum Moissanite” jewelry from a company called Quanzhou Pushi and it’s owner Pu Liang. I discovered through one of my customers just as I was listing his goods for sale that the 18kt gold Moissanite bracelet I had sold her was not gold despite being stamped AU750. I questioned the owner Pu Liang about this as I had questioned over and over again before purchasing what each item was made of and was it real gold, gold-filled, or gold plated. He had assured me it was all genuine 18kt gold and the other items were genuine platinum.

Now when he was advised that I had learned that what he sent was fake he first went into denial, then made up some nonsense that it’s a formulation of a combination of metals with some splattering effect to form a metal that looks and feels just like real gold and platinum. I told him this was totally illegal to stamp unknown metal as 18kt or Pl950 and that now I knew I could not sell it on the market in Australia. He was extremely ashamed (that he’d been caught) and apologized profusely and offered a refund. By the time I had gotten through testing all his gold and platinum and I was sure it was all fake I then turned my attention to the GRA Moissanite certificates.

They were all counterfeit. Instead of each gem having its own certificate number I had 4 bundles of duplicated and identical fake certificates, fake hard cards, and identical numbers. When you scan the QR code it doesn’t take you to the GRA site to download the authenticity of the Moissanite it goes to another site I have never seen. When I input his certificate numbers (only 4 numbers with bundles of the same number) into the proper GRA site it comes up with a query number unknown. Now I realized I had fraudulent gold and counterfeit certificates.

I checked every piece of Moissanite and it’s all glass. I took all of this information including photographs of the tests, the reports/signals emitted from some very expensive gold/platinum tester, and two different types of universally used diamond and Moissanite testers which all showed his jewelry as glass and N/A for platinum and gold. Pu Liang started sending me insults via WhatsApp over the information I collected and was providing because although initially, he had promised to pay me back he decided to be greedy and keep the money and leave me with well over $7000 worth of jewelry I can’t sell.

Despite having “Trade Assurances” for all of this stock Alibaba Dispute resolution team have done nothing but provide a ticking bomb after they’ve reviewed all my evidence, then send a notice onto our dispute page that I need to provide more evidence. Not once has Pu Liang given any credible evidence to show his jewelry is legitimate including invoices he received for the gold, testing the same products he sold me to prove I’m wrong....nothing. All he has done is to say he hates my daughter’s tattoos but despite this, he would still f$;k her and give her the best one she’d ever had and called me an ugly kangaroo. Now the problem gets worse I have an importation tax bill for over $800 from DHL I have to pay for jewelry s that’s worth noting because it can’t be sold as it’s fraudulent gold.

On the shipping docket is a company called Platts Jewelry Trading Co. in Hong Kong but I’d purchased from Quanzhou Pushi in China. This evidence I also sent to Alibaba because as far as I was concerned I had bought jewellery from Quanzhou Pushi, not this other company in Hong Kong and the Trade Assurances I had were for a company that had provided me with nothing. Months of investigations, photos, submitting messages between myself and Pu Liang, purchasing more testers at over $1500 - I am talking over hundreds of pieces worth of evidence dealing with each individual type of jewellery I’d purchased and Alibaba have now said there’s not enough evidence and we are to resolve it ourselves.

They have read the abuse I’ve received from this conman as he posted it on the open Dispute page!!! They know he won’t give me back a single cent. I have been left high and dry by Alibaba their Trade Assurances mean nothing. They are supposed to offer protection to the consumer against issues like this but obviously, they are inept at doing their jobs or are in collusion with Pu Liang.

DO NOT BUY FROM ALIBABA UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED FOR THE WORST AND DONT CARE IF YOUR MONEY IS WASTED.
