This phone do not get connected to PC with PC suite. Hence you can not synchronise your contacts. I am using samsung QWERTY phone now and I have 900 contacts. Not I bought this one touch 585DF. The USB cable of Samsung works with this phone. I am able to see the files saved in micro SD card inside this Alcatel 585DF phone. This confirms that the USB cable is working. But the phone do not get connected to the PC suite. First of all, the PC suite is not available on Alcatel site. The website is so poor that even websites of chinese products are better.
The FAQ of the website says that the phone can be synchronised through PC suite. But the PC suite is nowhere there for any of its products. I had to download the PC suite ver 7.0.24 from some other sites and not sure of its reliability, but I had no choice. I believed that Alcatel is famous European brand, and this was not expected from them. Now If I can not synchronise 900+ contacts to my new phone, its useless!!. Although its a low priced phone, the PC suite synchronisation should be there at today's date.
I will update further features of this phone If I am able to use it.
