Akhil_ The power of Jua: Movie Review

Well, the much hyped debut movie of Akkinenei Akhil will be a perfect watch for the ones looking for the most clichéd movie with a hell of logiclessness and how people are dumb enough to make a two hour long cinema without a story! The basic story line itself is baseless, how can some stone on the centre of equator touch each and every ray of sun passing earth; eights of stupidity, that’s it! Now, coming to the making part, VV Vinayak once again reboots his masala filled making style without any logics, the climax action sequences generated heavy laughter. The scripting was lousy without any stable content, the characters seem to have no honesty of their own at least; they behave in different manners at different situations. Still can’t understand how they build characters so idiotically!Though production values were rich, the direction less passage of sequences made them dumb.

The only thing that stay as positive in the film are the songs, they were foot tapping and groovy; Akhil’s fast paced dance moves made them better, but sadly, Akhil excelled only at the dancing side. At the acting part, he is no different from Ram Charan, no expression and over acting at certain sequences; even the rest of cast had the same thing to offer, the heroine, Sayesha revealed more skin than talent, where as Brahmanandam and Vennela Kishore did their usual clichéd roles. In spite of having good actors like Rajendra Prasad, their roles were wasted in unworthy scenes. Though songs are the saving factors, they are disturbingly misplaced at unwanted portions. At the technical side, visual effects were of good quality; but considering the hefty budget spent, they seemed just okayish. Though the vfx oriented piranhas and panther had a bit of quality in it, inability of use them accordingly in script made those stuff a failed attempt.

Overall, Akhil’s debut vehicle of the same name is something that tries to explore new roads, but finally ends in the usual paths without any traces of impression. One of the worst movies this year!
