Ajmer Sharif:
Last week I visited theHoly Place ofAjmer. It is located in Rajasthan. We reserved our tickets from Bandra Terminus the Train Name isJaipurAravli Express & it starts at 9:00 PM at Night & it leaves at 5:00pm next day if you are lucky the Train is not delayed.
We reached at 7:00 pm. We booked our tickets for28th May 2006 & reachedAjmer on29th May 2006. Then we walked up to the Dargah sharif & there are endless hotels that can suit up to your budget starting from 100/- per day up to 2000/- per day. But one thing that is costly there is Food. We took a room near Dargah & the rent was 150/-per day exclusive of food. We were total 4 people & our one time meal was Rs.100/-, & that to we only ate Dal rice & basic food if you wish to eat delicious food it might go up to 500-1000/- depending upon number of people. We rested that day & then we went to Sarwar Sharif. First if you wish to go to any place inAjmer you have to leave early in morning. We left our room by 10:00, then we went to Khwaja sahib Dargah did our prayers & took a sumo from digi Bazar the driver charged us rs.30/- per person. He left us near the Dargah, he is Khwaja Sahib’s son he had send him 40 villages away from him as he never allowed poor people to meet him. First we went there & exactly opposite his Dargah his uncle Dargah is there we went there between the two dargah there is one river it had dried up in summer but in monsoon it again fills up so went through that way. Then we came back had our lunch rested for half day then want to Khwaja sahib Dargah there are people who sing Qawwalis the whole day & educate people about the deeds did by Khwaja Sahib. Next day we went to Annasagar on the banks of this river Khwja Sahib with his followers used to sit & drink water ,when soldiers of Prithviraj complained to hin about it he told to move him away from there & stop water supply to him, so Khawaj Sahib was forced to leave that place when he was thirsty he told his man to take one cup ( katoras the beggars have) & tell water that Khwaja Sahib ne tumhe yaad kiya hai & the whole river came into that cup you can still see that cup it is kept near that river only then when prithviraj came to know he apologized & told to send back the water since then in Ajmer all rivers tend to dry up in summer but annasagar never dries up. Next day we went to Taragad it is located on the top of the mountain you have two ways either climb up to the Dargah Sharif or else hire a car up the mountain he will charge 20/- up the hill or else 15/- down the hill. We took a sumo up the hill & there you can see the beautiful city ofAJMER it looks fabulous we even took pictures of the landscape. First we went into the dargah & prayed theShaheedMEERASAYYED was killed while offering prayers along with his other fellow people. The is a footprint (TAP) of his horse if you close your left ear & place your right ear you can hear the sound of horse walking & near to this there are Kabars of his followers who were also killed with him, these kabars were made after Khwaja Sahib came to India he on his own made those graves. One interesting incident is that you cannot count those graves even King Akbar could not count it even after keeping Asharfiyas (money at that time) since then no one is able to count them. After praying jumma namaz we started our way down on the way there is a stone thrown by Jaipal Jadugar on Meera Sayyed Baba he had stopped it with his two fingers, horse chaabuk & the horse gave support with his knee you can see the prints of all three on the stone & also the stone is lying without any support in the air, it was truly amazing, more down the way there is Neemwale Baba the neem tree above his Dargah is Sweet while the one away from his Dargah is Sour you can taste it yourself & believe it, it is said that 50 steps Away from Khwaja Sahib Dargah when this Baba cam from Mosque after praying namaz his war started with the king & his head was cutted with sword but his body continued the war without his head & at this place he died & this neem tree gave shelter to his body & from that day onwards this tree branches over his Dargah have turned sweet. When you finish the mountain down there is the Dhai Din Ki Jhopdi it is said that Khwaja Sahib built it in 2 ½ days & he prayed namaz for 36 years in it. It is a lovely place from where you can see the wholeTaragadMountain.
Next day we went to takini darbar it ilso located up the mountain near taragad, we prayed in the Dargah Sharif & behind it is the hijre ki Mazar it is said that he was given the blessing of having a child by Khwaja Sahib & after the child was born both of them died & both the graves were made next to each other it is believed that if you don’t have child & you pray to them you get a child. One thing the way to takiniki & hijreki mazar is not fit for pregnant, old age, heart patient because it is totally rock climbing so be careful while climbing mountain you might fall to death or hurt yourself seriously. You can also see forts made byJaipalJadugar many places inAjmer. On the last day we did some shopping as goods there are cheaper & you can buy a lot if you have saved a lot.Try to visit this place once & you’ll agree with me & you’ll also see the magic’s of god in this city ofAJMER.AFTERREADING THIS REVIEW PLEASE TELL ME WHETHER YOU LIKED IT OR NOT.
