I applied for Airtel Airfibre which is supposed to be the next higher version of Airtel Broadband.
The Customer Care confirmed the feasibility at my location. Within minutes I got a call from one representative requesting to visit my premises for a feasibility check and collecting the KYC documents.
He visited my premises, declared connectivity, and passed the feasibility check. This person promptly collected my KYC and asked to pay 2533 as a rental for 4 months. He said the installation fees will be waived if I paid 4 months in advance.
Everything fine till now. The next day that is on 17th September the technical team came and installed the airfibre with a modem and a router. They also asked me to wait for 1 hour for the speed to increase. I waited for 6 hours and still the speed was 5 Mbps for a 40 Mbps plan!.
Now the actual problem started. The technical team and KYC guy did not pick up my call.
Finally, I raised a complaint on 17th September, the day the installation happened for very low speed.
And today is 23 September. Still, the problem is not yet resolved. There is a daily inquiry from my side to Airtel customer care who are having a ready script promising me to resolve the issue within 4 hours which has become a joke now. I even asked them to take a fresh complaint which they promptly denied saying it is impossible unless the existing complaint is resolved.
And now from yesterday the internet is completely down!
I would suggest to please do not go for Airtel. Go for JIO or a local broadband which is more reliable and good.
