I am very UNHAPPY with the AIRTEL mobile services. Many people may be happy with their services but me I have faced serious issues that have not been taken care of after repeated complaints. A brief description of the series of issues:
> I stay at the pin code 421201 (DOMBIVALI EAST(DIST>THANE>)MAHARASTRA) and what I have always felt that whenever I enter to my Apartment the signals always seems to be stuck somewhere and not reaching my phone. I stay on the First floor and there is no interference of any other objects as I do get signals from other service providers with no issues.
> This is not only the case with my apartment. Even when I am outside on the streets at some part the signals almost goes off and I have to keep searching for them manually.
> Even I change my sim card as per the instruction of customer care executive of Airtel. But then also I am facing the same problem.
> Whenever I am in a conversation with someone after around 3 to 4 minutes suddenly I won't be able to hear anything and pin drop silence proceeds. Then what the call gets disconnected and I have to redial again.
> When I get angrier is when I dial my Airtel no from the Landline. Its states sometimes that the Number that you are trying to connect is OUT OF REACH, and sometimes to my surprise "PLEASE CHECK THE NUMBER AND DIAL AGAIN". OH! enough. the cell phone is in my other hand and I am trying to connect it by dialing the number with the other hand and still I am unable to.
Airtel is telling that they are the number 1 Network Provider in Mumbai but it is not true. They are not giving even 4G network service properly to customers in Mumbai. I am facing a lot of n lot problem of 4G network in Mumbai. I am getting 4G network only in western Mumbai and in some parts of south Mumbai. As I am working as a sales manager so I am traveling in most of the parts of Mumbai. I am the Airtel user for 2 years even I suggested my teammates to port there sim to Airtel, but I am not getting proper service then how could I suggest to take Airtel to anyone.
Now something about the customer service. I feel its very easy to get connected to one of their so-called TECHNICAL SUPPORT AGENTS, but its really hard to make them understand what is the exact issue. You tell them interference they will state as CALL DROP. I mean do they have any of the canned responses which they should immediately read out to the customer. I always hate the line "SIR/MADAM please don't worry I have taken the complaint about the issue that you are facing and OUR ENGINEERS will visit the tower and will sort it out". They will give the time frame as 48 hours and it will be 48 days I bet no one will call you. Very unhappy with the services!
I don't want to state any billing issue because Airtel is perfect for billing and even giving good offers. I am using billing sim card. But now I am thinking of going with Vodafone or idea for better service.
My suggestion to AIRTEL: PLEASE TRY TO IMPROVE THE SIGNAL STRENGTH, then bombard the OFFERS VIA YOUR ADS.
People need service, not offers.
