Hello airtel, I am your digital TV customer since a while now, and I hardly reach out to the customer care for any complaints.


My customer id is 3016858982-001


Recently I have seen description about your new airtel internet TV setup box on your very own website, and I was so excited about it.


I called customer care number 198 on 22/10/2017 from my airtel post aishwaryasingh23ed mobile phone and dialed in the option to connect to the digital TV. There I happen to talk to a gentleman first and then he had transferred my call to his Senior to tell me about the new internet DTH setup box.


To my surprise, both of them have 0 knowledge about there own product and the worst thing is, they have very poor communication skills. I have never expected this kind of poor quality from a company like airtel.


Somehow the lady have taken my request for upgrading my HD setup box to the new airtel internet TV DTH setup box for INR2999. And she has promised me that, it will be installed at my home by the next day. On 23/10/2017 a lady by name Ravathi has called me from the phone number 9618589979 and told me that the airtel digital TV internet TV DTH setup box is not launched at my area.


I asked her since its not a service, and its just a device, what made airtel to not launch this setup box in my area? To my surprise, this lady started talking to me in a rood tone saying that she is closing my service request. Then I asked her to give me the customer care email id, for which her answer was, sorry I can not tell you that kind of details!


My dear airtel, y do you want to keep your customer care contact details so confidential?


I repeatedly asked her for the customer care email id, and without my notice she have taken someone into the call, and told me that he is a technical person from my area and she ask him to talk to me.


I asked him the same question, what is your customer care your email id? He said sorry I cant tell you that! I think airtel, your customer care service is a CBI or FBI service to keep it so confidential.


To test the knowladge of the so called technical person on the phone, I have asked him what is the SPDIF port on your HD setup box? Its becoming funny now, his answer was, sir it is not SPDIF, its called HDMI port.


Come on airtel, please train your people, cause your customers have more knowladge on your products than your technical persons.


Lets go back to the subject, while am talking to the technical person on the call, the lady in the call spoke in between and started talking to your own technical person in a very very rood tone and they both started shouting at each other, haha, it was a good time pass conversation for me mr.airtel.


This fight went for few minutes and the call got disconnected.


Now somehow I could mAnasultange to find your very very confidential customer care email id on your website. hello airtel, I would like to here answers to my questions below.


1- Y did you open the service request to upgrade my setup box to the internet TV DTH setup box if you cant ship the device to my area?


2- give me one good lesion for not launching this product in my area when it is not a service which is just a hardware device?


3- y do you make your people talk so rood with your customers, are they train to talk to us that way?


4- y do you maintain technical staff who have 0 knowledge on your own products and send them to us to eat our brains?


5- y don't you teach them some English?


6- when you cant supply the product, then y dint you mention it on your website?


7- y are you trying to keep your customer care contact details so confidential?
