AIRTEL THE MOST IRRESPONSIBLE ANTI CONSUMER CONGLOMERATE – PART 3 – Broad band
Airtel boasts of most efficient agency dealing in digital TV, Mobile and broadband and airtel payment Bank etc. But fact is that its different wings – not only the wings, even the various sections within a wing have no coordination amongst them. They do not know how to handle their software supremacy, They have put a big iron curtain between consumers and its executives, They cannot read / understand what the consumers write / want, probably the persons handling the desks are either robots or illiterate or misfit with their seats or even not knowing any one language fully or have time available with them to read the question or query fully and do not know how to handle the tools / software available with them. They have a handy VEIL to keep them away from consumers with some recorded / guided question answers app, known as Airtel thanks application and the outsourcing phenomenon. Their mathematics is so poor that they do not know even the four basic principles of Arithmatic – the sum, minus, multiplication or divisions. Information provided by their customer care, web site and with implementing executives all are different. Nodal officers, appellate will try to avoid interaction by not replying to the consumers complaints. In this review I will talk about their Broadband services. This service is definitely better than its other two services of Mobile or DTH TV, but the shadow of these two services is still there on it. I applied for its connection in April 2019. I was promised complete wi-fi in my house at 40 mbps speed, one land line connection, one telephone instrument, unlimited national calling and unlimited data etc and so on. After encashing the payment cheque, the problem started.
a. Instrument was not delivered.
b. Complete wi–fi was not available in the house.
c. Well wi-fi problem was sorted out when I offered them my own personal router.
d. But for instrument I have to fight out almost for two months under one pretext or the other. Finally a faulty instrument was dumped with me. However its maintenance services were quite good. Other services were ‘ram bhrose’
i. Website information, customer care and dealing executive – all the three were at logger head with no much claimed transparency and always with variant information. Being satisfied with their maintenance services and a good cost concession, I converted the connection to yearly payment. Now another problem started.
I was inormed that they have upgraded my connection rom 40 mbps to 100 by customer care. But website still indicate the speed as 40 mbps.!00 mbps speed I got or some period but again now it is much less.
The expiry date of my connection and the dues status was not available. Even speed is variable as explained just above.
Website was always silent on both counts showing throughout the period only a balance of Rs -609+. On further trial it will take you to recharge / payment mode without any information on due amount, expiry date, recharge charges, package charges for one month, quarterly, half yearly or yearly basis. It will, just to trap the consumer and confuse him, will ask him only how much money he wants to use for recharge. Towards Recent recharge I had to write to several sections, only then they sent me sms telling about the date for renewal but still were silent on the packages. Strangely statement was that the recharge will be due on 16th May and it will be auto renewed leaving nothing in my hand, probably trying to use my credit card details with them from previous recharge.
On 15th May I tried to recharge the connection myself and tried to find out different packages but failed once again. Being trapped with lack of information I recharged the connection.
On 18th May I got the bill with several wrong details with an option of making the payment and not making it a receipt. Obviously I was furious and bombarded all possible sections with mail on this issue. Only then I was contacted by customer care on 19th May, feeling sorry and confirming payment and sent the receipt / payment confirmation the next day i.e 20th May Airtel is treacherous, greedy, no transparency, irresponsible, lethargy and idiotic. If consumer is awake, he will be saved otherwise will always be trapped for making extra or unknown payments. My next review will detail this thing too. Wait for it
