Terrible experience - avoid this moving company at all costs. TV ruined(value: 1, 08, 000), crystalware broken, picture frame smashed, sofa scratched. We were quoted a price of 69, 000/- for our 3-bedroom move from Bangalore to Mumbai. I should have suspected foul play when a 32-foot truck pulled up instead of the 20 footers they had promised. We were told it was our good luck that they had a 32-foot truck returning to Mumbai empty, and our goods would be safely moved without being crammed into a 20-foot truck. We were specifically told to buy a strong lock(cost - 1200/-) that would be applied after the truck was loaded and only WE would open the lock once the truck arrived at our location in Mumbai.
The truck was to arrive on the morning of the 5th(July 2021) and we drove in our car to reach by 4th night and meet the truck the next morning. When the truck did not show up on the 5th, our calls to the various numbers provided(at least 6 different points of contact had been given to us) were either unanswered or asked us to contact other numbers, none of whom provided any information. I did not suspect foul play even then.
The truck pulled in finally on the 8th afternoon - 3 days late - and the lock we had used to secure our items was broken and not in place. The driver claimed that an inspector at the border had asked them to break it since he wanted to inspect the truck. The crew could not offer any explanation for the delay, which had cost us 20, 000/- for the 3 nights we had to stay at a nearby hotel. I could see that our stuff wasn't in the same place where it was when the truck had been loaded in Bangalore, and it seemed certain that it had been moved around.
Because the society we had moved to, had strict rules about not allowing moves after 6 pm, the crew hurriedly began to unload and bring up the goods to our apartment. There was little, if any, time to have each box opened and inspected before they finished and left. Our 55" inch Samsung was ruined as we later found out(display panel was damaged) and had to be replaced at a cost of 35, 000/-.
All along we had the confidence that our stuff was in good hands, given that these people have been in the moving business for over 50+ years and come highly recommended. But it seems they are much worse than many of the smaller companies(my past experience in inter-city moves has never been this bad).
Although we do not have explicit proof, it seems certain that they used the empty half of the truck to include some other shipment(the delay was probably caused because of this), and in the process, our shipment got damaged and delayed by 3 days.
I would not recommend anyone to use this company. Past laurels may be because they were reliable and trustworthy once upon a time, but not anymore.
