My uncle has got Wagon R vehicle. On one day we went to Marina Beach and was returning in the car. When we are on the Sardar Patel Road in Adyar one crook has come and hit our vehicle from backside and the vehicle got slightly damaged. We were able to catch hold of the person and several people gave several suggestion to repair the car.
But finally my uncle called up Maruti ABT and in just 10 minutes there Recovery vehicle came and towed away our vehicle to their service center in Guindy.
So far the things were OK and the problem starts from here.
The estimate given to us was Rs. 48, 500/-. They said glass and rubber parts are not covered in the Insurance and that we have to pay out of our pocket.
We informed the Insurance company and a surveyor was deputed to inspect the damage. On a discussion with those people the surveyor brought down the repair cost to Rs. 12, 000/- excluding Glass and Rubber Parts which comes around Rs. 2, 000/- so over all 14, 000/- whereas they charged 48, 500/- which is very abnormal.
The process of finalization took around 8 days and then we told them to repair it. They said the vehicle will be delivered at 1200 noon on a particular day.
On that day when we went there around 1300 hrs, the work was still going on and they said slight buffing has to be done.
We waited till 1900 hrs and finally the vehicle was given to us at 1930 hrs.
So I tell you friends, if you happen to get struck of your car in between, never ever call ABT. It is better to get it repaired from the road side person than giving it to them.
