My booking was at the Abhinandan Resort. As per net it mentions 8 KM from Kempty Fall where as govt milestone says distance from Kempty fall is 10KM.
On the website it was written it is near Mussorie and there was good review so I booked that depending on it for being truthful in disclosing all the detais of the Abhinandan Resort. I reached there from Rishikesh after giving INR 2500 to cab. To my surprize there was no road to the resort and the way is in mountains so cab driver told me that this is not even a place to stay for a family. But I didn't listen to driver and he dropped me.
There was no reception, a guy in vest and perspiring in sweat welcomed me. Then we checked the room, there was makeshift arrangement in a resort which is charging whoopy per day amount with no water, old and unwashed bed sheets, screeching bed, smelling toilets and no roof at all- that was the plastic spread on it. On top of it, the doors locking system was such a worst that it took me around 5 min to close the room and this happened everytime I had to close the door.
I was accompanied with my wife and my two daughters aged 11 yrs and 7 yrs and was awestruck with the locations and workers which were all males, smoking using curse language and even one was suggesting that all females are safe as even after drinking they don't tease them. On above of it, for water I have to request everytime to helpers to switch on the water motor and at night we were without any single drop of water in our toilet. To make the matter worst, my daughters were scared of huge insects and I was told by one of the help that most of the customers comes extremely late and just sleep- meaning you don't have anything to look there and you are paying amount to have bed which is also stopgate arrangement.
I contacted help in the so called resort for the cab booking for my drop to Dehradun as I had already prepared my mind that I cannot stay with three females surrounded by all males enviornment when all the bad things are happenings in the world. Adding to that my daughters were crying and scared and stressing that they didn't want to stay in the hotel anymore. But to my utter dismay help could not resolve my issue and asked me to wait .
I had my dinner of rice and dal again surrounded by all males help cursing and laughing in the location far from city in a forest, smoking bidi's wearing vest, scratching their crotch and sweat arm-pits while serving food to us. I already saw can of bears, bottles of whiskies everywhere which was making me scared. There was also a stray dog which was making my daughter uncomfortable.I requested helpers to help me in booking taxi as I wanted to check-out from the nightmarish resort early in the morning. But instead of helping me they made my mockery by saying they can arrange freight truck for 2500 . so I called my friend who is working for some project and eventually a cab was booked for around INR 2200 to Dehradun.I requested him to come to the resort ASAP in the morning and the tentative time he gave me was around 8:30AM. By that time, it was around 10PM
The night was really hellish where around four to six guys might be sleeping in one room and we four of us sweating and trying to sleep in the room surrounded by dog who was barking non-stop amidst huge insects, huge spiders and ants everywhere in the room. Eveytime we drowned in the sleep voice of dog, stray bird noise etc awaken us. We all four just shifting ourselves and praying that the ordeal should end soon. To our dismay there was no water in the toilet and I didn't have the heart to go outside the room, to request to the so called help to again switch on the motor.
We were awake around 7AM and then I requested the caretaker to help us with water issue and then they switched ON the motor. During night my wife caught fever and my daughters were also feeling sick as we had a sleepless night. We were in lurch and I needed a place to stay anywhere- I was supposed to be on leisure trip which was actually became nightmare trip.
