This movie Aashiqui 2 should be a documentary about "Ill Effects of Alcohol". In the end the ill effects are:

  1. No success in life

  2. No love life

  3. You may loose your life in the end.

Rahul Jayaker(Aditya) is Singer who has lost his sheen in singing. Once a superstar now is diminishing under Alcohol influence. For money he starts doing shows in small towns but his brawl with one of the spectators is shown in negative light. He bumps with Arohi Shirke(Shraddha) when he leaves the show in between. He realises that Arohi is a singer at a local bar. He promises her to take her to Mumbai and make her singer.

Soon Rahul makes Arohi a singer who wins a lot of awards. But the society of the film world won't let him live. Rahul was always potrayed wrong. Even he tries his best once to reprive his career but he can't. So he still falls into slumber of alcohol addictions. So much that he makes brawl everywhere and steals money from Arohi when he is out of money. He realizes he is the obstacle in Arohi's success path. So Rahul takes steps to save Arohi's career and thats the climax of the movie.

Telling frankly the movie's first half is pretty good. There are few lovely scenes between the lead pair which makes the movie so sweet. At the same time in second half the movie gets on dragging and the climax is difficult to digest too.

This movie gave a wrong message to you that even a true love can't end your addiction to alcohol. How much ever the female character tries to make and give him confidence the more he falls into alcoholic slumber listening to society and journolists and people of film industry. Can't a true love teach him a better future?

Character wise both the lead pair gave a wonderful performance. Going by the movie the few best scenes in the movies are:

  1. The meeting of the lead pairs.

  2. The night meeting of Arohi and Rahul behind his car.

  3. Rahul and Vivek's fight

  4. Rahul convincing Arohi to sing her first song.

  5. Tum Hi Ho song

  6. Arohi letting Rahul to steal money from her purse

  7. Arohi trying her best to make Rahul gain confidence and living with him leaving all her recordings

  8. Rahul and Arohi's Conversation sitting behind the closed door.

  9. Arohi trying to give Rahul the confidence the same way Rahul did at the start of her career.

  10. Arohi Convincing the Producer that Rahul is everything to her and she will go away somewhere after all her contracts are cleared

Few Scenes which was not explained or not required:

  1. Some spectators throwing beer bottles on Rahul

  2. Few goons beats Rahul, who are they and why they beat him, not explained.

  3. Arohi's Mom and Dad's character was worst. Don't know where they were living after she gets flat also.

  4. Rahul's dad even knowing he is in depression still stays out of country.

  5. The climax. The worst of all.

I can only say that the movie is just about alcohol addiction and its ill effects. It is not a love story. Where is love when it can't even take out the guy off his addiction. From start till the end the movie is just Alcohol and it only made the movie sink. I can just tell its a one t
