Aamir Khan - Hierocracy at its height. Review on Aamir Khan

I was just listening to all the things for last 1 week and thinking. But today afternoon at 1.30 p.m. I have seen Aamir khan speaking to NDTV about his latest publicity stunt about Narmada Yojna. I was shocked by his answers. He was opposing Narmada Yojna and favoring Coke-Toyota at the same time?? Is he the same man who played DJ in Rang De Basanti? Before RRCing check my questions to Aamir Khan at the bottom of review.

I have been living with 24 hours of uninterrupted power supply since my birth as I am at Ahmedabad. I feel people of of Maharashtra, MP also deserve this, thats why I am writing this review.

Let me make few things clear before I reach to real matter.

• I used to be die hard fan of Aamir Khan, now I like Aamir Khan but not his fan.

  
  




• I have visited Sardar Sarovar Dam personally before 3 years and checked many things which I am about to write.

  
  




• I have my neighbor living me with us for last 20 years who is working at Narmada Yojna for last 20 years, and I have come to know many things from him.

  
  




• This is the review for Aamir Khan film actor, but the Aamir Khan, an Indian citizen.

  
  

Let me put my core questions first?

1. From where Medha Patkar is getting fund for last 15 years to run her NBA ?It is not easy to run any business for even 3 months without any income. But Ms Patkar is successfully doing so since last 15 years?

1. Which Dam project in the world had been completed without removing people from their land ?

   
   




2. Does Medha Patkar sees the pain of people of Narmada Valley only, why she doesn't go to Kashmir Valley ?

   
   

4. Had Aamir khan checked the real facts and figures before making his protest ? Had he gone to Narmada Valley to check rehabilitation work ?

If Medha had donated all money to valley people, it could have built houses for at least 70 % people, but the fact is she doesn't want the houses for people, she wants to stope the Sardar Sarovar Yojna, which will help 4 states.

Background of Narmada Yojna

It was the dream of Sardar Vallabhai Patel (the Iron Man of India) to use the waters of the Narmada River to bring growth and prosperity to the people of the Western Region. Late Jawaharlal Nehru had laid the foundation stone for the project on 5th April 1961. But unfortunately it was only in 1987 the project was underway.

Sardar Sarovar Project is an Inter-State Multi Purpose project of National importance. It is one of the largest projects under implementation anywhere in the world. It is sponsored by the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Major benefits of the project:

• 8000+ villages and 135+ towns in Gujarat and 130+ villages in 2 districts in Rajasthan would get drinking water.

  
  




• Out of total 28 MAFT(Million Acre Feet) Madhya Pradesh will recieve 18.25 MAFT, Gujarat 9 MAFT, Rajasthan 0.5 MAFT and Maharashtra 0.25 MAFT.

  
  




• 1450 MW power will be generated and shared with Madhya Pradesh receiving 57%, Maharashtra receiving 27% and Gujarat receiving 16%.

The Apex court also granted permission to the Gujarat Government to raise the height of the dam in 1995 and ordered a three-member Grievance Redressal Authority headed by Justice P.D. Desai, on the status of the resettlement and rehabilitation (R&R) work. The APEX court has given detailed guidelines for the Rehabilitation and Resettlement of Project Affected Families.The committee has been appointed under supervision of retired judge in each state which looks after rehabilitation work. No intervention of State or central Government. Increase in height is possible only when they give green signal about the rehabilitation. So it means that independent committees in all 3 states are working falsely?

Other side of Truth

• More than 92 % of rehabilitation work is completed in Gujarat till 2004 according to World report. - Can anyone deny that ?

  
  




• People at Valley are ready to move and take the other land which is offer but it is people of NBA (Medha Patkar people) who are forcing them to refuse that. Time of India (Hyderabad - Outside Gujarat) what do you say about this ?

  
  




• Medha Patkar is was not saying something when Shankarsing Vaghela (Congress Minister in Central) was CM of Gujarat, why she is crying at BJP government only ?

  
  

- Even Congress party at MP is also supporting this now in 2006 that’s why Central Govt is afraid of any steps. Time of India (Hyderabad - Outside Gujarat)

• It was Congress Government (Digvijaysing) of MP which has done lapses at rehabilitation work in MP, why Central Government doesn't take responsibility of the same ?

- I have been living with 24 hours of power without any power cut since my birth as I am at Ahmedabad. Don't you think other people of Maharashtra, MP also deserve this?

Other matters with Aamir Khan against Gujarat

Aamir Khan has alleged only one party for making protest against himself at Gujarat. But the fact is - all the political parties of Gujarat has made a protest against Aamir khan. And it is not only political parties but normal public also has made protest against Aamir Khan at Gujarat.I have checked with one of the biggest multiplex at Ahmedabad for whom I had worked. Manager is my friend and he told me that since last 5-6 days, they are having very empty show of Rang De Basanati.Now where comes the political party when people themselves don't want to watch his movie. You cancheck out all the big news paper at Gujarat (Sandesh, Gujarat Samachar, Divya-Bhaskar) all have unanimously said that all political parties (not only BJP) has shown the protest. Then Why Aamir Khan is dragging only one party into the matter. You can see senior congress leader's interview at Star News where his is also making his protest against NBA.

Now my questions to Aamir Khan -

1. Why he has not checked the facts before coming into the play ?

   
   




2. Why he is targeting only one political party in the matter ?

   
   




3. Why he is not going to Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh where people are walking 10-15 k.m. daily for drinking water... (and after this yojna, they will get fresh drinking water - Aamir Khan doesn't like them to have fresh water)

   
   




4. And if Aamir khan is so worried about the people of that part, had he done himself anything (like Vivek Oberoi has done in TN after Tsunami)

   
   




5. Why Aamir khan is not concerned about rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits ? why ? 6. Many parts of India is having problem, specially north east states ? why he has not gone there to show is concern ?

   
   

7. Besides looking to the people of Valley, can he answer what he has done to Reena, his ex wife ? why he has not thought about putting her outside her own home ?

India & Gujarat has lost almost $ 1 billion loan because of delayed completion of this scheme. Who is responsible for that - Will Ms Patkar & Aamir Khan will take responsibility of that ?

PS : I know that I will get some NU from hard core aamir fans, but it was matter of more than 3 crore people of Gujarat, MP, Rajasthan and Maharashtra whose life will improve after this Yojna, so I am ready to face those fans.
