Till now we thought Utsav was the only nice Veg Buffet place, until we visited this place today for dinner.Situated at one of the prime locations in Banjara Hills, this is one place which is easily accessible and plus has a lot of adequate parking in the basement. One thing to keep in mind is, if visiting over a weekend, kindly call up and make your reservations, else it is really difficult to get a seat. Eventhough we has a reservation for 9:30 for a table for 5, once we arrived we were still informed that there was a waiting for 10 mins, which was reasonable. We were immediately then ushered to our assigned seats.
The ambiance is very nice and spacious. Normal wooden chairs and tables with sofas at selected places. There is also a TV which interested people can watch.The food is amazing. Starters were served at the table. The starters included slices on cheese thin crust pizzas, crispy mix veg, potato kurmure and tandoori paneer, all of which was very delicious. The starters are unlimited, till you say no. The main course was also widely spread with normal steam rice, jeera rice, pulav, biriyani, rasam, dal, curd, paneer butter masala, jaipuri bhindi fry, veg kofta and a few other dishes. Hot butter nans are served at the table, if requested for once you start with the main course. There was also lichi and kiwi drink, for those interested. The desserts included three varieties of ice creams, gajar halwa, gulab jamun, pastries and the prized of all - blueberry cheesecake, which was the killer item of all. For people interested in soup, veg sweet corn soup was also available. There was also a chat and pasta counter where chat items like dahi puri, pani puri and dahi papdi was available and pastas in white sauce also. The pasta was nice however, the chat lacked the flavour which is expected out of a chat item.
The only thing which I would like to bring to the management's notice is the hospitality at the place. Though nice, yet it lacked enough attention. There were not anyone to attend to our table for the initial 15 minutes. Starters started arriving, however we had to ask for water a couple of times before we actually got it. I feel the amount of waiters at the place should be increased slightly more to cater to the crowd at the place. My rating of 3.5 is only because of this negative point, else this place definitely deserves atleast a 4.
Overall it was a great experience, a value for money(499/- per head for dinner, inclusive of taxes) and would definitely love to try it once in a while. A place worth recommending for food, esp. veg lovers.
