I started watching "you dont mess with Zohan" simply because I had nothing else to do.. and I was surpised that the movie was so good.
Zohan(Adam Sandler) is a superhero of sorts. An israeli specialist who gets tired of all the fighting. He fakes his won death against Phantom(John Turturro) and goes to new york to cut hair.He is spotted by Salim (Rob Schneider) who has had bitter personal experince with the Zohan.
The movie is hilarious. Its funny and witty and sometimes downright dirty.. but it had me in splits. Its a little high in sexual connotations and under the belt references...and is really not advisable to be watched with people with whom you dont share a similar rapport...But the jokes like "This is what happens when they talk politics" and "very tasty diahorrea like substance" and of course the "fizzy bubbleach" have become regular words for me...
I will not reveal the plot but the over the boundary sarcasm between israelis and Arabs is very refreshing. Both races are aliens in america and yet they are not oblivious to their differences. All the actors have done an awesome job... especially Ron Schneider who plays the disgruntled arab wanting revenge for his goat.... I could go on and on describing the scenes.. but it would rob the charm of the movie.
