Oh my! This is really exciting. as I browsed for reviews on books and authors category here in Mouthshut, I was surprised to see Linda Goodman's name on the list! I got really excited!

im really fond of reading astrology books since my High school days and number 1 on my list is Sun Signs by Linda Goodman! reading this book is like reading exactly your ownself and you can never rebot. u might even caught yourself smiling alone and say, "yes its me! its true!"

i swear, you'll agree on what it says about your personality in whichever sign you carry. I was pretty amazed on how she described the personality, physical features and overall qualities of each signs. at first I was so skeptical when a friend suggested me to try this book as she knows how astrology interests me. but when I first started reading things about Virgo(this is my zodiac sign), it kinda given me goosebumps because 98% of the article really describes my personality, even my strengths and weaknesses as well. it catches my attention pretty well. and since then, I became curious on reading and knowing the personality of the other signs because I believed that if it worked for me, perhaps reviews on the other signs might be accurate and reliable as well. I tried to read other articles of the other signs- the signs of the people I knew well and I took it as a test. guess what. for the second time around, it amazed me again!  wow. thats all I can say.

Since then my interest went up on a higher level, I read people's personalities through their signs and im learning from it. most especially when it comes to my own personal relationship. its like knowing my partner deeper and understanding what he likes from not. and believe me, it works a lot better. I became sensitive to his needs and everything goes well between us. im not saying that you should depend on astrology book itself in knowing a person's persona, but its a great guide. and this book is one of the most accurate ones. Linda Goodman has different editions on Sun Signs but the oldest version is the best.

Again, im not saying that you guys must depend on this one. I mean I just wanna share to you how amazing this book really is- at least as a tool for guidance.

But of course the best thing to know a person is by reaching out to him/her and letting them feel that they can be themselves whenever they are with us. And however it may seem, we sincerely assure and secure them of our acceptance and respect for whoever they might be. In due time, we'll be able to earn for their trust- the door to a person's transparency.

Only by then that we'll be able to notice, understand and see the real and authentic essence of a person.

Not derived from any expensive books, but from the bond of a true and meaningful friendship.*

*(About the Author)

Linda Goodman, (April 9, 1925 - October 21, 1995) was a best-selling American astrologer and poet. She was born **Mary Alice Kemery, by some accounts in her parent's hometown of Parkersburg, West Virginia and by her own account in her maternal grandparents' house on Kingwood Street in Morgantown, West Virginia.

She graduated from Central High School in Parkersburg, in 1943. The school is now called Parkersburg High School.

She assumed the name Linda during World War II for a popular WCOM radio show in Parkersburg that she hosted called Love Letters from Linda. Each show consisted of Linda reading letters written between soldiers and their loved ones. Each letter was punctuated with a popular song of the day. While working in radio, she met her second husband, Sam O. Goodman and took his last name.

Shebegan her career writing for newspapers in the eastern and southeastern United States. She also wrote speeches for black American civil rights leader Whitney Young, who served for several years as president of the National Urban League.

Some have suggested that Linda Goodman was responsible for accelerating the growth of the New Age movement through the unprecedented success of her first astrology book Linda Goodman's Sun Signs(1968). This was the first astrology book ever to earn a spot on the New York Times Bestseller List. It was followed by yet another success with Linda Goodman's Love Signs(1978), which also made the New York Times Bestseller List.

*Other books by Linda Goodman include:

*Venus Trines at Midnight(1970)

Linda Goodman’s Love Poems(1980)

Linda Goodman’s Star Signs: the secret codes of the universe(1987)

Gooberz(1989)
