St.Joseph Hospital, Manjummel was a small hospital for the ordinary people in and around the area started as a trust by the Christian Missionary. It is opposite to the famous Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Parish Church, under Roman Catholic, Archdiocese of Verapoly.
Earlier it was an old model building and in the early 2000, they gave an attractive look and appointed specialist doctors. This Manjummel is near to the industrial area of Ernakulam City, Eloor. The head office of Fertilizers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd.(FACT Ltd.) and other public limited companies like Indian Rare Earths Ltd.(IRE Ltd.}, Hindustan Insecticides Ltd.(HIL Ltd.) and Travancore Cochin Chemicals Ltd.(TCC Ltd.) are situated in and around the area of Manjummel Hospital, allowed their employees to use the facilities from them. Accordingly, to maintain the status in the competition with other hospitals in Ernakulam, to attract patients from going far for getting treatment, they improve themselves further by renovating the building again to the new structure that too attracted so many new best doctors by the year 2017 I think.
Today, its like a super specialty hospital of the area with all specialized doctors, 24 hour emergency, best staff, I would say, I been there day before. Even nuns too are working in the day time in the registration space, billing space, in pharmacy as overall supervisors to help them increase the quality of workers and service to patients.
The new structure has a big registration and pharmacy space that helps the patients to ease their visits. The doctors too are very gentle and kind to the patients. They guide us in taking new medicines along with any other existing medication and educate them the advantages and disadvantages of the existing and new. The staffs too are very courteous and really approachable for any sort of help. I like the emergency staff too much as each person is ready there to help any patient. I am very happy with their kind generosity through these gestures.
Even if, it is in the outskirts of the city, I recommend everybody to go and get a medical treatment, if required from St.Joseph Hospital, Manjummel.
