It is a privilege for me to to pen down a few lines in favour of this esteemed institution in Bangalore. The college majorly offers Arts, Science and Commerce at the PUC & graduate level. It also has PG courses in Management, MSW, Journalism, Data Analytics etc., and is located on Residency road which is considered to be central Bangalore.

I am an ex-student from the PUC(+2) side and was also a hosteler, batch 1990 - 1992 . Its excellent hostel is located just a mile away from the college at Richmond Circle. The warden of the hostel during those times was Fr. Hillary Perera, a man of integrity & discipline from whom students learnt a lot. Residency Road is host to many reputed schools like Bishop Cotton's School, Bishop Cotton's Girls College, Sacred Heart School etc. St' Joseph's College is run by the congregation of the Society of Jesus(S.Js), an old order founded by St. Ignatius of Loyala in the year 1534. They are also otherwise popularly called Jesuits who are educationists.

One aspect which I inculcated during my studies here was a sense of reasoning and logic which we learned to apply in any given situation. Our teachers encouraged us to ask questions and logically arrive at the answer. I picked up a lot from my Vice Principal Fr. Clarence Dsouza who taught us World History and encouraged us to ask a lot of questions.  The college is more than a century old and has a very healthy culture.

The college truly lives up to its motto which is "Fide et Labore" i.e. achieving success through "Faith and Toil". I will recommend anyone who wishes to obtain a value based education to enrol in this college without any hesitation.
