Come 2005 shrimaan shrimati 2 has arrived on sab tv titled as AAJ KE SHRIMAAN SHRIMATI starring dilip joshi shruti ulfat and hardik the theme is the same as the old one but its the modernised version

Mr. Sanjay Sarfare is a copywriter in an Ad Agency. He has a sweet little family, comprising of his wife Sania Sarfare a housewife, and his little kid Pappu , who is smarter than his parents. No matter how hard Sanjay strives to impress his boss, he ends up irritating him because of his silly mistakes. His partner-in-crime is his very own best friend-cum-colleague Chitre, who work with Sanjay in the same office and helps him in worsening situations with his boss

Sanjay's dream comes true, when the most gorgeous model Aishwarya Sen moves in as his neighbour. The only hitch being, she moves in with her husband Joe, whom Sanjay thoroughly detests. On the other hand Joe, who has seen enough of glamour in his wife, show a liking for the simplicity of Sania.

The dislike for each other is mutual between both the husbands. And is only aggravated when they realize the other's liking towards their own wife.

Now that's what gives rise to all the Comical situations and Loads of laughter, each time these couples encounter each other.
