Why you should definitely buy s2?. Review on Samsung Galaxy S2

First up, to all the people who might check the ratings ive giving this phone, you might say I did so because I own this phone, spent 29K on it, and now is just validating his purchase. NO .

I shall give you the complete review of this phone and my experience has been just AMAZING. So sit back and read this as the complete truth on my part and not as a cynic. Okay let me brief you up, so I bought this phone from Mumbai(charni road), from a shop named Zoop. It cost my dad 29K. And I bargained for a screen protector for free, I dunno which one he applied but it was worth 250 bucks and I must say it is absolutely essential. So now u knw the price and place lemme divide my review on the phone based on categories:

LOOKS: Love at First sight. Thats what I told my dad when I saw this phone. placed in a glass display with many other phones, my sight went Only towards this phone . why u ask? Its ginormous screen and sleek body frame is what is awesome and looks as hot as deepika padukone in a bikini.

Till date(its been 3 months from purchase) whenever I remove it from my pocket, people STARE at it, I mean they have never ever seen such a huge phone(barring china models:P). Another factor is the LIGHTNESS. this is crazy light. I mean hardly feels like any weight in hand or pocket! The hugeness is not a CON it is definately a Plus Point.

Bottom line: Huge size, sleek, light, good looking.

->SCREEN: Well thats the selling point of this phone. SUPER AMOLED PLUS, whatever technical terms used I dunno, but the screen is SEXY(sorry).Wall papers look so stunning on this screen I cant tell you in words.The touch sensitivity on this thing is comparable to the iphone, its so smooth.A NEGATIVE here I can point out is that you will never be able to keep more than 50% brightness, because it leads to very very fast battery drainage. But not to worry too much, even at 30-50% brightness this looks 10 times better than any other screen ive ever seen on a phone. ill go out on a limb and say that it kicks the iphone 4 screen too.

->BATTERY LIFE: Ill be very frank, its average. If you do not use the multimedia and browsing function and use only for calling/texting/limited app use/ low brightness then it lasts for 2 FULL days. But heavy - moderate use of internet/wifi streaming and games does reduce it to 1 day, sometimes only 18-20 hrs until fully empty. But hey think about it this way, u drive a merc / audi / rolls royce and u need to be ready for low mileage! Just an Analogy guys, but does make sense huh? All the high end smartphones nowadays, like htc sensation, motorola droid, they all give 1 day battery life so no need to worry bout this, battery problems are part and parcel of owning such beast like android phones. Also, getting android apps like app killer/juice defender did NOT help me extend battery.A negative I can point out is battery getting heated up . the phone does get warm but not too hot for discomfort in hands.This happens due to high CPU usage and theres no solution to this.The STOPWATCH function which comes with the phone is very badly coded, I started stopwatch for 15 min didnt realise that d phone was heated enuf to fry an egg.So please dont use STOPWATCH . download an app for it from market.

-> SPEED: Incredibly fast. Loads websites in a flash . Games and applications work without any lag.

All in all a super quick phone due to dual core technology with 1.2Ghz with samsungs own exynos chip. Better specs than some netbooks out there. Comparable to the iphone4s A5 cortex.

->USABILITY/FEATURES: It comes with touchwiz interface, but you can download Launchers from android market if you want something different. Im very satisfied with touchwiz  because its smooth to scroll from screen to screen( its like MASKA - butter). Its very user friendly and gives u an awesome experience, after all its android and well I wont like to get into too much detail about this, because android is universal and u can get a review on any site u want. What I feel about android in short is, it makes the phone so much more flexible. I mean apart from android maket( brilliant) even the android settings makes u feel in control like you are flying a plane and can make so many modifications to your phone.

A few aspects ill like to point out which make this phone the KING of features and usability:

OTG - Please search youtube for samsung galaxy OTG you will be amazed.

Wi-fi Direct - U know bluetooth? Meet bluetooth on steroids.similar to bluetooth, but xtremly fast.

Wifi-Hotspot - Turn the phone into hotspot, so other devices can connect to it and use its wifi.

Tethering - From the USB use your phone internet on your laptop .

These features I thought stand out from the rest. althought there are so many others u will be amazed.

Bottom line: Easy to use and LOADED with featues.

Negative: U will need to download an app( like HANDCENT) to send long messages. After 480 letters it automatchandru021y converts to MMS thats some Bullshi* in a phone like this. But not to worry, just remember whatever features u want to add to your phone just go to Android market and it will b solved.

Other Features in brief:

Speaker volume: could be louder, its quite okayish.

Camera: Nice camera ofourse its 8mp, but the stupid thing is no click button for it to actually feel like a camera, the button is on the screen and u have to touch the screen for camera to click. really sad feature.

Overall: Just buy it if u have 29K . I have not had a single problem with it(touchwood) Also, Android Ice Cream Sandwich will be available for S2 in December. But in india maybe in 2012. Even then its official and definitely will come out.The white S2 is out there, even though I love black, white looks very nice on this one. Also, I've posted some pics and a video showing the S2. Of course once you buy this I would recommend subscibing to youtube channel "samjpullen" where he has posted lengthy reviews on S2, S2 cases and covers, S2 games, S2 features, S2 ROOT .So yeah subscribe to his channel it helped me a lot.

I own A galaxy TAB also. and I must say these samsung products have NOT disappointed me at all ever.
