Bought this phone in August 2011 for about Rs. 15, 000. It's box included the unit, a travel charger, Kies PC Sync software CD, Stereo Headset, USB Data Cable, 1 extra white back-pane, leather pouch, Quick Start Guide and 2GB microSD card.
Pros
Camera: This one packs in a 5 MP AF Camera with LED Flash. There is no secondary camera though. The camera takes pretty good pictures at max 2560x1920.
Speed: Running Android 2.2.1 Froyo on a 800 MHz CPU, this phone fares well on the performance side for all the applications that I have tried. Applications like Google Maps, Gmail, Google Talk, ThinkFree Office, BSPlayer, CricBuzz, Google Drive, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, IMDb, Opera Mini, Viber all run like a breeze. All except the Facebook main application runs fine.
Call Quality: In-call reception sound is very clear and I never had complains from the other side also.
External Storage: The mobile supports an external storage of upto 32 GB with a microSD card. I used a 16 GB card and never had any problems. Problems begin when you learn that not many Android applications that you download from Google Play will go to the external storage.
Cons
Low internal memory: The 181 MB internal memory storage(as shown in Task Manager) is really very low. You can not install many applications that are there in the Android Market(now Play). I would say this low memory is the biggest problem with this set and that's the reason I regret buying this one for the price.
Battery drains fast: This is a common problem with all Samsung mobiles. With the brightness at its lowest point and GPRS running on 2G non-stop and with moderate calls a fully charged battery lasts for about 1 day - that is if the battery is less than 6 months old. With 3G enabled the battery won't last even a day. The GPS is a big power hogger.
Automatic restarts: The phone occasionally automatically restarts - say once every month.
Hanging up: Occasionally running applications will freeze and shutdown. This occurs, say, if you have not restarted the phone for a week. I have had this with Opera, IMDB, Facebook and many other applications.
Facebook Application: always freezes. The Facebook Android app is unusable on this mobile.
Overall, the mobile runs smooth with small glitches here and there. Some times the phone hangs just as you accept a call - but I faced this about 3 times in the past 1 year.
