I have been a teacher in Ryan, Kundanahalli and following are few facts that I would like to share.
1) Good infrastructure - total sections in each grade is~15(A to O) and # of students in each section are~40. Quite difficult to manage such a huge number of children. 2) Main Sports facilities - Football Ground, Basketball Court, Swimming Pool, Skating Rink.
Swimming & Skating - Scheduled time: 1 Period of 40 min once in two weeks.
To & fro time taken to reach pool / rink= 15 min
Time taken by children to get ready= 10 min
Total effective time to utilize the facility by 40 children together= 15 min in two weeks(total 30 min in a month)
3) Drinking / non drinking water: During snack / lunch breaks, literally no water. Toilets stink.
Explanation by supervisor: How can school provide water for so many children? Ayyammas are busy.
4) Academics: According to maths coordinator and teachers: 45 / 0= 0.
Explanation of supervisor: There is no difference between 0 & Undefined / Infinity.
According to Science Coordinator: Eating and Masticating is same.
Similar situation is in other subjects too.
Supervisor's response on this: If parents point out something during PTM and the teachers are able to convince parents, let them teach the way they want.
