The pool villas with their personal splash pools and quiet gardens with beautiful peacocks strutting around made for the most idyllic quiet weekend break from Delhi. A quick drive down the Yamuna Expressway & past the bustling streets of Agra, this palace exudes old world charm. The service was warm & personal and the food exceptional. Made to order meals, prompt responses to any queries and a guided tour of the palace added to the pleasant experience.
A must visit for people looking for a quiet weekend away from the maddening city. My favorite part was an evening stroll with the beautiful peacocks in the garden while the kids pretty much spent their days in the private pools. Another recommendation by the hotel staff was a trip to the nearby Chambal River and the National Chambal Sanctuary well known for it's "Gharial" conservation efforts.
Reason enough to go back there for another holiday soon.
