It is easy to reach Visakhapatnam as it is well connected with Air, Road and Rail route and hotels are also easily available there. After reaching Visakhapatnam you will easily find auto or taxi to R.K. Beach. R.K. Beach is Nice to see but if you are planning to enjoy the waves and sands over there, please think twice. When I was planning my tour to Vizag, I searched for popular beaches in vishakhapatnam and first name that came up was R.K.Beach but I was very disappointed after reaching there as water and sand over there was dirty. This beach is near the vishakhapatnam sea port and traffic of huge ships is very common there, due to which water has become polluted. I had planned to take a dive into the sea but after reaching there I changed my plan and sat on a rock and watched the Beach as it is beautiful o look at. After sometime I smell something and I found out that, at a distance waste water was mixing with the sea and most of the people did not know that.
If polluted water does not bother you and you want to take bath on the beach be careful as waves here are little rough. Thereare some slippery rocks inside the sea which are very dangerous and many accidents have already happened there so one need to be aware of that also. At RK beach you can visit the INS Kursura Submarine museum, which will definitely turn out to be a knowledgeable and exciting experience. Dishes you must try there is masala prawns, it's just yummy. It will be good if you visit it in Jan Feb .
