Hi friends. I bought the Trip-505 some three months back...a bit apprehensive about the results when I went for it, but less worried because the brand is a trustworthy one...and also, it was on an Olympus Trip that I first learnt how to shoot...which, of course, was quite some time back...!!
This is a compact, stylish camera, more with the looks of a digital camera, light golden in color, very sleek in make. It has a small LCD on the top panel for displaying the exposures, flash and battery conditions respectively.
For the techies amongst you, here are the technical specs:

Having said about the specs and the features, let me tell you that I was more than surprised, the first time the prints were developed. They were as good as any expensive, high feature camera you can find around. Yes, that is speaking about the quality of the pics. Not feature-wise, of course!
It picks up the graphic details. Be it in a room where you are shooting somebody’s picture or outside the four walls, you will find the details of the surroundings also as clear as is your subject.
The clarity and focus of this basic model from Olympus is really praise-worthy. It is worth the bucks…especially when you get it with papers (bill) for around Rs.1800, which is really good for a brand like this and with the quality it delivers!
I would recommend this cam as one of the good ones you can go for, not merely for your budget, but also if you are not much of a gadget freak and for whom simple is beautiful!!
