We bought Kelvinator KCP205 in 2012 for Rs. 11, 500/- something. It has 190 liters gross and 186 liters net space.
My father preferred Kelvinator, so we chose this refrigerator and it has performed well without any issues so far, except some minor defrosting concerns. It is Black Pixel in color and is a good addition to any kitchen.
Energy Saving:
It has some special energy saving feature with 5 stars which says that it consumes 260 units per year. So, we don't have to worry much about our monthly electricity bill due to this fridge. However, still I switch it off early in the morning 3-4 am to save a little more energy.
Space:
The fridge has just enough space for everything in our home. But the height-gap between the shelves feels a little congested with some utensils. This is what I feel when I have to get things out when I want to scourge on something.
Defrost feature:
Initially when we used to press the defrost feature, my wife used to complain about some issues that it was not doing the desired job effectively. But after some months we faced no such issues. Maybe she didn't know how it should work and she gradually figured out the solution.
Antibacterial features:
This is one great feature about this fridge. It has antibacterial shelves and door. I don't know how it works, but that's good considering that it helps protect us to a certain limit. It also claims anti-fungal feature that prevents growth of fungi inside the fridge.
But when we left the fridge closed for a few months, there was fungi in it when we returned. So probably, this feature works only when the fridge remains on.
Overall:
We have also used voltas and haier in our other homes and kelvinator is also good. It cools very fast and doesn't create any noise. We bought haier in my wife's house but it makes some sound. This kelvinator 205 has coins in its back. Overall, it is just the perfect fridge for a small sized family.
I will recommend it.
