Like every Indian city, Bokaro has also got some religious places and temples for the religious minded people. I have already visited the famous Kali Temple in Bokaro while we made a day trip from Dhanbad. So, we had to spare a day for other popular temples during our 3 day Bokaro tour. Jagannath Temple is a very popular temple in Bokaro constructed recently. It is located in sector 4 of Bokaro still city and easily accessible from all parts of the town.
I was just amazed to see the building construction of the temple which is a true copy of famous Jagannath Temple in Puri. The ambiance of the place is also quite beautiful. We went there in the evening time as every day Aarti is performed in the temple in front of the deities Lord Jagannath.
I saw a large number of local people visiting this place in the evening even the weather is cold. The area is silent and peaceful. Though, it is not carrying any legacy or tradition, still it is place of peace and gives you the feeling that God is every where. We also offer our prayer to the Lord Jagannath. I liked the experience!
During Rathyatra, big festival is organized in this temple mainly organized by the from Odisha living here. Though, people from all other communities enjoy a lot at that time.Overall, a good place to visit for common people and if you are religious minded, it is a must visit place for you in Bokaro. This place has been added recently to the list of tourist attractions in Bokaro.Please try to visit in evening time to see Aarti, though you can always visit this temple.
